  I just recently got married at the Faversham house, we decided to go for dinner to the palace on Friday night. As we were a table of 20+ and there was another wedding function on with 20+ people also, Nola the owner had told me she was going to close the restaurant and have it open only for the functions (which would have been absolutely perfect). This did not happen, we waited about half an hour to place our dinner order, at least 15 minutes for a drink and over an hour and half for our food, the owner was rude to my Nanna and the staff were also rude to many people, myself included. My meal of shanks was disgusting and inedible, no refund was offered although they did give a complimentary pavlova. Chips were forgotten off a mates meal & when he complained the lady came back with a basket of chips, slammed them on the table and said "they are on the house". The only compliment I can give is the tidiness of the restaurant and beer garden and also the lady who worked her first day - she was gorgeous. I doubt we will be back though. Also a family member booked well in advance for a room & when they rocked up apparently it never happened..!

  Alice in the Palace restaurant has a great menu every week. We have eaten here three times now. Great food and atmospheric.

  I can't even describe how amazingly delicious this place is! Everything we ate was food from heaven! The beef cheeks, lamb shanks and arancini balls were seriously to die for. I wish I didn't live so far away so I could eat there often. And to top it off, fantastic customer service!

  FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE
  Went to York for the weekend with friends stayed at The York Palace Hotel.
  Accommodation was wonderful, owner could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable.
  We had dinner at the restaurant, the food, wine and service just wonderful, the restaurant was really busy but did not have to wait to long for meals or service.
  
  I would recommend this place to anyone.

  This is a review for the restaurant - absolutely stunning. We were a table of 6 the restaurant was full, food came out quickly and was absolutely beautiful. Staff were very friendly very helpful the whole experience was first class. Now for the Creme Brulee oh my goodness best we have ever had!!! Thank you so much for a excellent end to our day.
