Fantastic pizzas! Beautiful thin crust, light but stretchy as only the best can be! Authentic Italian!
Awesome thin-crust Italian pizzas with a large size. Pasta serving was not so generous - ~$25 for an entree-sized amount. Service, atmosphere, coffee and tiramisu was fantastic.
Went there for Friday lunch. Scotch fillet cooked to perfection. Kid's pizza best I've tasted (comparators: Mr Wolf St Kilda, DOC Albert Park, Doc Carlton, Supermaxi Fitzroy, Cucina & Co Brighton) and wait staff couldn't be better: attentive but not obtrusive. In Melbourne's over-hyped food and specialty coffee scene, disappointment is common. Not this time.
Pretty disappointed with the meal we had -
$77 for a sloppy pizza and an entree sized main pasta, one beer and a ‘cocktail’ made up of 75% ice.
The pizza was impressively large, but I’d have traded size for quality any day.
Staff were pleasant - atmosphere was good too but unfortunately wasn’t complimented with great food.
Wish I could say it might be better next time but, one visit is enough.
Delicious dishes at reasonable rates. Have had their pizzas a few times now and they are always amazing.
Looks ok from the outside, but started eating and found it's off the mark. Pizza base was really chewy, giving you the perception it was leaning towards being underdone. For your "really can't be bothered cooking" nights you might try here, but go with low expectations so you're not too disappointed.
Great white pizzas and calamari. Visit on Mondays for a good special on house wine and pizzas. I don't suggest ordering online. They only started making my pizza when I arrived.
Rude much? Horrible customer service shame really, the food is good, but I wouldn't go back, or recommend anyone else to either
Called to order 3 pizzas to pick up on 18th of July 2018, the lady who answered HUNG UP ON ME, (a potential customer!!!) She informed me it would cost $80 for the order! I politely said I'd like to cancel the order and she hung up on me. Very poor customer service. I'm sure their food is amazing but I guess I'll never know. Hanging up on customers is ATROCIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE. Won't ever be eating at this establishment!!!!!

Family and gluten friendly, with killer bases and amazing slow-cooked lamb ragu. Awesome both dine-in and take-away.
Always an amazing experience at La Svolta. We are locals and always check in for a visit when we can especially on a Wednesday for their delicious food, brilliant staff and super live band. Out of all the restaurants in Hampton, this is the one we come back to every time.
Hampton's and Melbourne's hidden jewel. Beautiful atmosphere, great food, unforgettable experience, excellent service. I'll become a regular, even if I have to travel 35km from home. Love this place. Made me feel I'm in Italy.
I don't usually review places, however, when I do it is either to warn others, or because it is amazing. And La Svolta is definitely the latter. The pizza was amazing and the servers very nice. The atmosphere feels very Italian and really completes the experience of true authentic Italian food. Will visit regularly!
