Look it is the Best Indian food hands down
We eat out 3 to 4 times a week
We have eaten in all the Indian Restaurants north of the River
This is the best and yes I am Indian and hard to please
I only write reviews if they are the Best or the Worst and this is Fantastic

Ganges Indian Restaurant! In Alexander Heights is the best Indian I have ever had. The Curries are authentic and the restaurant truely tastes like India. I highly recommend this restaurant, the staff could honestly not do enough for you.

As others have posted, this little shop has been many different restaurants. Ganges is absolutely the most wonderful. Delicious, flavourful food, with cheap lunchtime specials during the week. It might not look packed, but I'm guessing that many people, like myself, prefer to order take out. I hope that tonnes of people discover and enjoy this local gem, cause I want to eat here for many years to come.

This place has been many different restaurants over the years, but Ganges is definitely the best one we've seen in 8 years. They're only empty inside often because its at a shop that doesn't have many other reasons to go there. We have given them plenty of business over the years and the food is always good, even our kids love it.

Great little restaurant, food was outstanding, and I'm not much for Indian food. Asked for a banquet, mild, and loved it. Sohan the owner/chef came out and talked explaining what was in each dish.
The garlic Naan bread was really good too.
My brother in law was with us and he loves Indian and reckons it's one of the best he's had.
