The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They organised a booking for dinner at a local restaurant for us. The furnishings were very stylish, in keeping with the period of the building. There were plenty of separate rooms for socialising with other guests in front of the fire, sitting reading quietly alone or playing billiards! The bedroom was comfortable, with adequate ensuite. There was a large, well manicured garden. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Overall a wonderful experience which I would thoroughly recommend.

Loved our weekend away here. Very homely and welcoming environment provided by the lovely Pete and Shelly. Amazing home cooked breakfasts, beautifully maintained gardens are a peaceful retreat from the city life, we stayed in the spa room which was just beautiful. The grand country house has a very warm, cosy, vintage feel, only a few minutes walk from the quiet town centre Clunes. Would definitely return.
