We had a function upstairs in the balcony this October. The staff were great in the lead up, they worked with us so we could look at the venue multiple times. They were very up front about the cost, there were no hidden suprises. The food was delicious. We had quite a number of people with different dietry requirements and they catered for them all. Special shout out to Jenna for making sure everyone got their food. As an added bonus the Rifle supplied flowers and candles so the place was already decorated.

The meals are always great. It's a great establishment. Love the view from inside the men's toilets. (Yes, I had to go in and see).

The staff were great but the food was a little underwhelming.. I had the vegetarian lasagne with a friend who had the same & we both felt it was pretty average. The boys had burgers & weren't overly impressed. Desserts were ok. I won't be in a hurry to eat here again though, especially when there are so many other quality eateries in town

Took my parent's for dinner, it won't happen again.. the pork belly was over cooked, dry & tasteless & no crackling just tough dry skin, so so disappointed & the under staffing is a huge issue we waited & waited to be served, really 2 people behind the bar on a Saturday night not good enough

Top notch! The food was amazing. The open lamb souvlaki is to die for and the chips have the perfect amount of crunch. Great atmosphere. Would recommend.

I came here for a 21st, enjoyed myself with the food and drinks and the ambience upstairs but then left quite a bit under the weather, leaving my bag behind in the process. Staff went above and beyond in looking after it, and the mess made behind. I can not rate them highly enough!

Probably the best hotel for craft beer in Bendigo.
Great internal layout with lots of nooks and crannies to sit at.
There were lots of varied beer taps but you need to understand that craft beer is still being discovered in this part of Victoria. It's not as advanced as other areas.
So with that in mind the selection was fine. And you can sit up at the bar likein the US and enjoy watching them work.response / report this review
