Great place, food is consistently delicious and very good service. I have coming here for a few years. If you like spicy you need to tell them as they usually just make all curries mild. Nicely decorated as well. There take away service is also great.

We have been going to Indian star regularly for many years. The food is consistent, very tasty. always presented well, having moved from typical copper 'karahi'to modern white serving dishes. Great ambiance, clean and staff serving with smiles. Our friends from other parts of Melbourne, also love to come and eat here. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic Indian food.

Disgusted !!
Recently visited this place.
I have been frequenting this restaurant from the day it opened.
Was asked at the counter as i was paying how was your meal ?
I replied that we come here a lot and for the first time the meat was really tough.
She replied oh well.
Never again will i return if that is the attitude after all the time that i have eaten there.

Food is rich of flavour. People travel far for this place and have been for years. A must try if you're in the area. ps they serve Halal meat

The food is great - but authentic ? I dunno. Most of their meals are quite sweet, with only some being spicy - sweet and sugary seem to the the big flavour profiles. Their takeaway serves are always good and eating in is always fun. However their prices are pretty high even for Indian so there is that.

Hosted a birthday party at Indian Star. Ambiance was good, well presented venue and space was very well managed. Restaurant manager was very receptive and service was good. Staff was good to deal with. Food was also quite good and everybody liked it. Overall a highly recommended place to host an event. No dramas at the end too with billing etc. Would use you guys again for events in the future. Thanks Indian star for making it a pleasant experience..!!

Yesterday was my first time trying Indian food ever. The staff at Indian Star were so nice and respectful and the food was amazing. Also the manager Shanu is a legend ☺

I'd seen this place many times before, living nearby, but only finally tried it last week after a friend recommended it. I'm sorry I didn't try it earlier!

All the food we had was great and the prices were really reasonable. Also good to have a place that actually has good food open until nice and late nearby. Will be going again soon for sure.
