OMG what has happened to your potato cakes??? I was there about a month back & they were the best Ive had in my life, returned today & they are rubbish, plastic fake bought ones 0 Stars for their cakes!!! Things might be tight but don't go cheap or u will loose customers!!! On the flip side the service was great.

Really enjoyed picking up fish & chips to eat in the park yesterday with my bubble buddie and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, there were no restrictions in place to monitor (a) check-in and (b) the wearing of masks. The number of young males in the shop without a mask in sight and who didn't check-in was disappointing and worrying. At one point there were 12 men in the shop without masks & none of them did the check-in plus at least 8 people sitting in the seating area inside the shop eating (there is a window to the street but surely they should have be move on to eat their food elsewhere. FIVE STARS for the food & service. However, ZERO STARS for the lack of protocols in place to protect the health and safety of staff working and the public supporting this business that is fortunate to be open during lockdown when so many businesses are unable to.

Some of the best fresh tasting fish & chips we have enjoyed in a long time. The flake actually tasted like it should - gummy shark! Deliciously crispy, light batter served with perfectly fried chips. You can’t beat that.

Always decent fish and chips.friendly enough staff. It's had a renovation lately that has freshened it up in line with other sites around the place that have opened up lately. I would never recommend ordering any seafood or fish and chips from uber eats. It's always best to take away yourself or relax and eat inside. Try their poke bowls are nice addition to the menu.

Used to be awesome a few years agowasn't as great as I remembered going back there a few days ago. The fish really tasted like egg somehow and the salad I swear used to have a dressing or was more crisp. Just wasn't the same but the service was outstanding.

Busy but great place to have a meal. Good variety of dishes to a reasonable price. If you're not a fish lover no dramas! other non-fish options available as well. Access to toilet and on-street car park.

Hugely popular. Always crowded, loud and friendly, especially in summer when you'll often find queues snaking down the street just for the takeaway! Hearty servings, delicious salads to accompany the fish & chips. Sharing tables with strangers is the norm, which adds to the sense of community here.

Fantastic place to . chill and enjoy one of the best fish and chips in Melbourne. The staff are super friendly and the place is very clean. I love the super salads they serve. means you get a touch of healthy whilst indulging.. :)

Hunky Dory is what every fish and chip place should be. Portion sizes are generous and there is lots of variety so it caters for those looking for a fried lunch to those watching their calorie intake. Alcohol can be purchased which is a nice touch to making the place feel more like a restaurant than a fast food place

You walk out of here not feeling bloated. Nice, fresh non-oily food with plenty of healthy options. Great atmosphere and well priced.

Hunky Dory staff is so friendly! They even asked if we wanted to take their photo. They also regularly ask if everything is good.

The food is brilliant. The salmon is so tasty and the salads are delicious. The chips come in big portions so watch out.

Hunky dory is a really nice place where you fell happy. Every one should come here.

The staff were all very friendly and looked after our needs very well. The food were good potions and reasonably priced. We ordered the Bay fish, Grilled Pack and The Old School pack and were happy with the food. Oh yes, we also enjoyed their sweet potato wedges.
