I really like this beautiful restaurant and motel. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is very friendly which makes you feel welcome. The restaurant has several different things, like pizza, fish and chips etc.

The environment is stunning. I love small coastal towns and Apollo Bay didn't let me down; Green hills and a clear blue ocean. If only the ocean water could be a little bit warmer, it'd be perfect, haha.

We love this place and stay all the time. Apollo Bay still has the charm of a little seaside town and this place has that feel to it. Across the road from the beach and above an unpretentious takeaway shop (owned by the same people) which does a breakfast to rival any of the more trendy spots down the road. It costs only a little more to stay here than at the backpackers but the setting, the staff and the location are a world apart. Thanks again for another fantastic weekend. We will be back!

Clean and comfortable rooms with great food at the restaurant! Such friendly and helpful staff made my stay really enjoyable. Great location too, could see the ocean across the road. Looking forward to coming back

Food is expensive and the fresh Orange juice comes out of a container. If you enjoy soggy toast, then this is the place to be. Staff are complete morons with no service skills. They can't even set the table. Too busy laughing with their friends instead of looking after the customer. The most disgusting breakfast I've had in a long time. It's not worthy of even the 1 star rating.

Stayed overnight during the grand final long weekend. It's really heart warming when the owner personally takes you through the check-in process and shows you how to use the heater, where to park, wifi log-in, etc. This level of hospitality is hard to come by nowadays. Thanks, Yvonne! The room is tidy, clean and has everything you need. The restaurant downstairs also has delicious made to order gourmet pizzas and fresh & affordable oysters.

Well priced cheap hotel accommodation. Room I got was clean and comfortable with recent renovations evident. Bathroom was well appointed. Floor boards though were squeaky (even stepping gently will cause lots of creaking to ensue - was more concerned about annoying other guests). Main thing was to get some shut eye which I got. Great restaurant, fish and chips was well prepared.

Very very bad fish and chips. Prawns, scallops, and fish are not fresh. Worst part of the meal is, I got a couple of dry lemon wedges. The lemon is so dry it looks like it has been sitting in the fridge for a week. Dissapointing meal. I will never come back to this place again.

We stayed one night at the Iluka motel during a long weekend. The rooms were cheap, no-frills affairs, but that's exactly what I was after. They were clean and comfortable and we had a lovely view out over the ocean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If you're ever in need of a room for a quick stay in Apollo Bay and you don't need anything too fancy, give Iluka a look.

This place was horrible. The one star is only for price. I ordered the grilled fish, salad and chips. I received the order and the fish was breaded and pan fried. That has never qualified as "grilled" fish in any restaurant I've ever been to in the entire world. I asked the waitress and she rudely snapped that it was grilled. Really? Then why is it breaded and fried? Perhaps you should return to culinary school.

My fiancé ordered the lamb gyro. There was maybe 30g of lamb in the entire thing. Very bland and disappointing. How is this place in business? Do not waste your time, money or taste buds here.

At first glance of the hotel (online) it seems perfect - clean and basic like we usually book. It has an amazing central location and convenience. However, this was the start of our problems once we arrived. The carnival across the road meant we had flashing lights and screams in our ears until late at night. The bathroom looks nice, however, the shower is more temperamental than Donald Trump. It would go from freezing temperatures to boiling in seconds and change constantly. You ended up dancing your way through a shower. I'd never thought it possible to this day that a bed would hurt but when I went to kneel on the bed to test its firmness, I immediately jumped back in pain as the crunch of hard springs went into my knee caps. The pillows were inconsistent and the sheets felt quite dated. We persisted, even though the wifi was spotty and had a career like Rhonda Rhousey (underwhelming and knocked out). It gets better! When we returned from visiting the apostles, our travel companion returned to his room to find ut had been cleaned spotless and everything he had in the room gone (toiletries and chargers). He had all his clothing and laptop inside the cupboard which wasn't touched. When we enquired downstairs, the young lady rang the cleaner and he said that he wasn't sure if somone was checking in so he removed the items, three out the expensive razor and toothbrush and stored the rest (I'm assuming so the staff can have their pick of it later. When we asked why he didn't just check the reception book, we were met with an "I don't know" from a very unapologetic staff member who just said "yeah sorry about that". Thankfully, they replaced his things but the attitude was horrific and the problem lies with the cleaner, why did he not check the cupboard and think "maybe someone is staying here, perhaps I should check the book?" We were also told our room would be serviced and it was not, this didn't worry us but it added to the disappointment. I highly recommend NOT BOOKING this hotel and instead checking out the Apollo Bay Hotel down the road. It is not worth it for the price you pay and the staff are simply rude and uncaring.

Food was good but service wasn't great. Missed orders, missing parts of orders. Once we got all the food it was nice.
