Update after owners response to my original post.
Your response is disappointing because it is simply untrue. We did not receive ANY communication from you.no acknowledgement of our application, no return phone call and certainly no email about the outcome.

We have interacted with this agency and specifically Mitchell the property manager on a number of occasions now over the past 6 months. On face value, both the agency and the Mitchell seem lovely and competent but actually dealing with them has proved thoroughly disappointing and unprofessional.
Mitchell is an affable person however he is easily overwhelmed (at property inspections), isn't a strong communicator (unresponsive actually) and appears not to be able to think on his feet.
The last interaction was when we placed an application for a 3 bedroom rental at $1000 per week. We were looking for a 2 year lease. We applied on the weekend after the opening. We did not receive an acknowledgement email, phone call or text! Approx Wednesday, we called them and did not even receive the courtesy of a return call.
I ran into Mitchell on the street and asked him what had happened. He was clearly embarrassed and bumbled his way to an explanation - they had offered the apartment to someone else and would only contact us if the other group had decided against it or not paid the deposit.
It is difficult to understand why he would not just be upfront about that through the application process.
Owners make decisions for their own reasons but our credentials are strong and I now wonder if our application was even presented to them.
We are a couple, no kids, no pets. We own multiple properties but are exploring living in Milsons Point / Kirribilli before we make a purchase. We are both employed in high paying roles and have ample security in terms of assets, savings etc.
I would not deal with Home Unit Headquarters again for a rental or a purchase.

We found HUHQ to be very helpful and accommodating especially Mitch who was looking after our application and had responded to my communications on a regular basis as we were relocating from another state. Our move was a smooth transition all due to the professionalism and care factor that Mitch displayed. Once again relocating, he has been there for us again. Great dealing with the property management team. Mitchell Vukovic was very helpful and nothing was ever too much trouble. I'd highly recommend HUHQ for anyone considering appointment of a new management team to their property.
