Good drinks selection, and the food was delicious. The meals came out at different times annoyingly, but the waiter did apologise. The pub itself was busy and had a great atmosphere.

Nice place in the heart of Hunter. Very good food in the restaurant - beef pie is the must. Always visit them when I'm around. Restaurant/pub may be quite crowded -especially during Holliday's.

Service was appalling. The person who showed us to our table and served our food was very disinterested, unpolite and unprofessional. The food was below average. The menu was very limited for anyone but especially for vegetarians. The steak sandwich was tough.
With so many choices of places to eat in the Hunter Valley we'll never be going back here.
Thankfully the barman was polite and helpful and quite a contrast to the waitress.

I had a party of 13 people booked for for a Hens dinner on Saturday and upon arrival was told that during the day they had a black out which left us with a menu of 6 items. With two vegans in our group I asked if we could order a serving of chips as a side (as the only option for them was a salad.. without the goats cheese) and the chips was listed on the kids menu with a hamburger, and was told "no". Staff was rude to say the least. Luckily the food turned out to be good but I was incredibly dissappointed that I recieved a text message to confirm the booking and no text or phone call to tell me that there would be an issue with the menu.

Comfortable large rooms. We stayed on a Saturday night and we could hear the music from the pub but it was nothing so loud that it kept us up. Only complaint is that the walls are quite thin and conversations in the room next door were heard and we had people walking past our rooms at night talking loudly that woke us up.

Great food and beers. There is usually a jumping castle to keep the kids busy too. A tad pricey for "pub" food but is to be expected in that part of the Hunter Valley.

Great place for the whole family, a large group or even just a couple to enjoy dinner. Good atmosphere, delicious food and the kids are catered for too with activity packs and dessert included with their meals. Great location too being so close to the Hunter Valley Gardens.

We had dinner a couple of times at Harrigan's whilst on our way to see the nearby Christmas Lights at the Hunter Valley Gardens and it was great each time. The chicken and duck meals really hit the spot. It has a great pub vibe and enough options for the kids. In a sea of local restaurants all trying to be too fancy for their own good, it was nice to have this casual option available. I'd highly recommend booking ahead though as it tends to be a popular spot.
