Awesome place for a family day out! My kids (ages 1.5 & 2.5) absolutely loved the outback attraction where they got up close with some cute little bunnies and lambs in the petting zoo, then went on to see some native birds, dingoes, snakes and kangaroos (there is much more). They have 2 Cafes where they have a good range of food on the menu. We had the fish and chips, Calamari and chips and a greek salad which was pretty tasty! The kids loved the slow cruise tube ride and so great for adults too! They also have locker rooms available to keep all your belongings safe while you enjoy your day. I found ALL the staff here were exceeding expectations of friendly and helpful customer service, really lovely people. Had a great time and will definitely be back!
It's great to see some initiative for bringing more tourism to this area.
I am hoping that many local businesses benefit and that this has created employment in the area. Unfortunately, there are a few flaws that other similar style of parks have avoided.
Cannot bring own food in - apparently this is to decrease the risk of allergies but I have a feeling it is really to make more profit from consumers. I always insist on bringing my own food in for a child with allergies as I just don't trust that all people know how to avoid cross-contact of ingredients in food preparation.
Cafe menu is not available on the website which means that you cannot budget for the day, nor can you see if they have any healthy food on offer like apples, salad sandwiches made to order etc (not prepackaged). I understand that they need to make a profit and making people purchase food via cafe is one way to do so however, not allowing people to bring in some package chips or fresh fruit is too restrictive.
Perhaps allow people to bring in package food and also add a $10 charge to the ticket and give people a voucher for the cafe. This would mean the company would profit from the cafe and people could still bring their own food in.
One of the activities was not available when we inquired and we still had to pay full price. This was disappointing.
It would be good to have a ticket available as an observer. I am wondering if they would consider one observer per 2 children over the age of 10. It might encourage people to use the facilities more.
I live relatively close to this place and would love to take my children there throughout the year. However, the cost of doing so is just too high. I would be lucky to be able to afford this once a year.
Amazing improvement, were there for nearly 7 hours and didn't even realise as we were having so much fun. Had 3 kids with us and they loved it. Rides were appropriate for all ages and water park was amazing. Can't wait for the next 4 stages to open!!! Staff were also so good to deal with very helpful. Thanks for a great day
Pleasantly surprised, good food, very reasonable prices, even in the gift shop, didn't mind spending money, the only think I would question is child's entry fee!!!!
My visit before the upgrades was amazing. Not a long entry wait, Not busy at all and only a 5 min wait for rides. No rides were closed and very friendly staff. Cafe' pricing was by far fair. Amazing Animals and a beautiful environment. My family and I had an amazing experience and will definitely come back.
We love Gumbuya Park, We take a picnic, bat and ball and our entertainment book voucher which gives us 50% of the ultimate family pass, and with a family of five it's a great day out. Doubt whether we would pay the full price which is $164 per family but with the voucher it's definitely worth it
Not sure why there were so many negative comments. Went today and the kids and i had a blast. Wait time for rides were about 15-20mins. Quite suprising for a weekend and start of school holidays.
Only thing negative was the train ride. Longest wait just for a tour of the car park. Skip it.
Staff were great and rides were fun.
Multiple rides and wild life. Good playgrounds. BBQ. CAFETERIA. Toilets
Hours of opening are to short. Lost 1/2 an hour to get in. food very reasonable. Rides are fun though if you get behind slow people on the toboggan it destroys the ride. Maybe slow track fast track
Great family fun great variety of things to do Japanese exchange student and kid's had a blast
Only 4 stars because I didn't get a chance to check out all the rides! I am sure everyone could easily relax and enjoy the nature and its environment and leave very contented with this very friendly Park!
Looking forward to coming back and having some more fun with my family!
I went there using scoopon voucher on the labour day long weekend.
The overall state of the place was good, toilets are modern and clean. Canteen was reasonably priced.
Let down was the fact the place was packed and took 15 min+ to pass the gate, waited 30 min+ on each ride.
Everyone seemed to use scoopon voucher (I knew as everyone was showing their smart phone upon entry).
I went there with my 2yo (under100cm) and 5yo (under130cm ). My 2yo could only get onto very limited number of rides, and as she is free entry, I am not complaining, but one of the adult had to wait with her while the other adult go on the ride to accompany the 5yo. So if you want to go there with little one, better be prepared. Height restriction for each ride was clearly stated on the web site.
Overall it was a good day out for what we paid.
Fun day out with the kids. Staff are nice and friendly, especially for teenagers working weekends :) Could be a little cheaper. Added new rides since our last visit. Animals are cute and friendly. besides the Emu's.. crazy animals. Worth a visit.
