Awesome restaurant. Come here every other week. Great menu with lots of options. Best part is everything is healthy, no deep fried fish.

Consistently excellent meals. Healthy and fresh options. Quality produce used. Indian normally makes me unwell but never at this restaurant since clearly no artificial spices or MSG. Fish grilled to perfection. Generous serves. Great service with a smile. Thank you again

Fantastic service and food, all the fish is grilled which is a lighter healthier option that I really appreciate. Skilled barristas that brew an excellent coffee, which if you match with one of their home made cakes is absolutely awesome. I can highly recommend the home made Apple crumble, as pictured : )
If you haven't been here before, or it's been a while since you were last here, do you yourself a favour and pay them a visit soon , I can highly recommend the the entire menu.

Tasty cuisine at extremely reasonable prices . This restaurant changed hands about two and a half years ago and the service and food seems to taste better on each return visit. Would thoroughly recommend Govenders, the curry's are full of flavour and there is always a selection of great desserts and treats. But what puts this restaurant above the others is the service from the husband and wife team and their staff. They make you feel most welcome and that's why I go back time and time again. It's definitely worth a visit or twoor three!

Our family have enjoyed the unique South African Indian curries and Fish and chips at Govender's Gourmet since before the recent change in ownership. The new owners have retained the delicious curries but have since added many improvements to the menu. We are now regular customers for breakfast and lunch, (there is something for everyone from Grandma, my wife, myself and my adult children). My favourite breakfast is the big breakfast with three eggs, a choice of five sides and coffee for under $15?! Grandma assures me the waffles are the best she has tasted. The lunches for under $10 are also the best value – try the open curry pie! With an ex-cruise ship masterchef in the kitchen we have never had a meal that hasn't been delicious and hasn't impressed. The service is efficient, courteous, friendly and homely. A definite recommendation.

Very quiet but the food is fantastic. Excellent family that run the restaurant with awesome quality of service. Food is reasonably priced and the food tastes amazing. Great sized portions too. Needs more customers.
