I had the fishfingers with avocado, poached eggs, corn fritters, rocket and bacon bits and it was delicious! Well sized portion, I'm very satisfied.
Maybe I should give 5 stars but I also had a hot chocolate which was only okay :D I do recommend Fitzrovia, though! Nice view across the street onto the park.
Had the most amazing meal! I had the arancini balls and the pork belly. Absolutely to die for. Would definitely recommend.
I had the chicken teppan burger for lunch. It had amazing flavour combinations that worked really well together. I honestly don't think I've ever had chicken cooked so perfectly. I would normally only have one course for lunch, occasionally two, but because the food was so delicious I went the whole hog and had starter, main and dessert. The salted caramel chocolate slice was creamy and crunchy at the same time, combining great taste and texture. Coffee was excellent and the service was charming, friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
Sidled in of a Sunday morning after a running race for a lazy recovery brunch. Menu smacks of I want to eat everything and delivers on the plate. Have never eaten such thick cut bacon and intend on doing so more regularly after what was a turning point in my understanding of the ingredient. Busy and staff run off their feet a little, however some authentic joviality sufficiently compensated.
Fitzrovia would have to rate as one of Melbourne's finest restaurants. The quality of its ingredients are unmistakable and the menu is creative and lush. The breakfast offering is singular for its excellence in the Melbourne food world.
Absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend. Staff are friendly and attentive with great knowledge of the menu.
A beautiful atmosphere with devine foods. This place really knows how to treat their customers, as you walk in you are treated by friendly staff.
Our waiter was charismatic and hilarious, really brought out a fun relaxing vibe.
The coffee was fantastic and the food was very yummy. (I recommend the Lamb Shoulder and Saltimbocca).
Overall this was a fantastic experience, will definitely be dropping by again.
Hands down one of my top 3 fave restaurants in Melbourne. Great focus on the quality of the produce used to cook super tasty recipes—I wish I could try them all. The atmosphere is lively (sometimes a bit too loud) and the space is well-fitted and tastefully decorated. Plenty of tables outside too, although I'm not a fan of sitting right in front of a busy street. Service can be a bit slow sometimes, but they're busy. Coffee is really really good—espresso in particular. Prices are average and portions are sizeable. Great place.
Just had a beautiful breakfast at this place.
The food was simply put spectacular simple ingredients but beautiful bold flavours. The place itself feels warm and cosy and the staff are very attentive. Will defiantly be returning and also recommending this place to friends. Thank you for a lovely start on Saturday morning.
Fitzrovia is a cafe were the food is more like a restaurant food. Very creative menu and specials available every day. The space itself is relaxing and really feels like a dining room in a beautiful mansion. Coffee is always consistent as the food. We love their pastries all made in house. Service has been always friendly and very personable but never intruding. We are very lucky to have fitzrovia as our local eatery. Book during the weekends as the place get really really busy. Best scrambled eggs in St Kilda and awesome rib eye sandwich.
I come here every week and love the food good people good service and they don't mind dogs could do with a local beer but thats just my pallet talking.
I'm a local that lives round the corner, and I want to love this place. It's cute, has a great selection, and is well placed. But the service
Saturday morning, 9.15am, and after confirming table service with the staff at the counter (after waiting at my table outside for five minutes), I then return to it to wait another five --to even begin my order.
Then the orderingThe young waiter gave the wrong price for the BLT, saying it was $7, then later comes back to say he got confused with the croissant --and the BLT is actually $13.
Not a bad spot as long as you don't mind the sloppiest service in town.
The food was delicious, but I felt the breakfast had the same consistency - mooshy. Mashed avocado, beetroot with poached eggs with a single slice of toast and a thick cut of bacon. Staff are friendly and responsive, decor was nice with a lively environment.
Lovely place and great location. I have a dairy allergy and gluten intolerance but the staff were very well informed and were able to recommend several dishes. My husband enjoyed the polenta chips. He said they were amazing. Great location opposite the park, lovely atmosphere and generous portions of food. We will definitely be returning.
Lovely place for breakfast. All of us very happy with our choices. The Scrambled Eggs serve is huge. Coffee drinkers all satisfied. The Tea drinkers very glad to have tea leaves Not teacbags. Great start to the day all round
