  Food quality is fantastic, so much more than your regular pub meal.
  We had great service from the staff.
  Wish we lived closer as we would definitely frequent here.

  Beer battered flathead fillets very tasty and fresh. Service friendly and efficient. Nice quiet country town atmosphere.

  THE PLACE HAS BEEN UPDATED SINCE WE WERE LAST THERE BUT IN A GOOD WAY. THE FOOD WAS AWESOME AND THE STAFF FRIENFLY. GOOD EXPERIENCE.

  The hotel is nicely decorated but freezing cold . Noted that most patrons wearing their coats and jackets.
  We sat for 25 minutes watched the same table being wiped over and over.
  Finally ordered drinks. They just didn't come.
  Obviously the lady and gentleman sitting on the table behind us using their computers were more important than us as they received much more attention than the diners.
  
  As I was really hungry decided to go back to Ballarat to get dinner.
  
  Very disappointed. Would not recommend.

  As a regular we've eaten here many times since the recent change of ownership and refurb.
  
  Good pub food and a fab choice of beers on tap plus a good wine list too. Food generally hasn't disappointed with reasonable prices and a good fresh menu. Best pub in Creswick and one of the best in the area too.
  
  What could be improved? Occasionally (rarely) we've waited a long time for our meal - usually when not busy too! The only meal that disappointed has been the curry so far, and we've tried most of the regular menu items. Bar menu is also fairly limited too if you're looking for a lighter meal.
  
  Worth a detour and a try!

  Ordered steak. Both overdone, especially since my partner ordered medium rare. This was after a decent wait so she left it rather than wait again. Salad was lettuce with an onion on top and a very oily dressing. So disappointed after reading good reviews. Good atmosphere, nice staff, great chips. Will not go again.

  The best pub in the area - must visit! We loved every meal! We ordered the House cured meats, Parma, Kids' fish n chips, Lamb 3 ways, Steak, Churros and Affagato The meats were excellent and perfectly cooked. The live music was mostly covers of Johnny Cash and other country music - we loved it! We also played pool which was heaps of fun. We will definitely come back if we are in the area.

  Amazing menu for a pub with something for every taste. Amazing rib eye steak! Live music, good atmosphere.
