Fantastic place.
Amazing Treehouse cabin in the bush! Will definitely return!
What can I say? This place is AMAZING. Surrounded by trees and only 5 cabins onsite. Our cabin had huge windows and a partial glass roof in the bathroom to view the stars with a glass of wine in the bath! The owners are more than hospitable and the cabins are so cosy - they feel like a touch of luxury in the woods! A perfect place to base yourself for a Grampains get-away.
My partner and I were looking for a nice place to stay which offered a bush/secluded and/or treetop forest retreat so we booked in for a two night stay at DULC in autumn (we chose the Treetop cabin option).
Unfortunately DULC did not live up to my expectations. I do some camping so i love the bush therefore attraction to this type of accommodation. However, the landscape of DULC was one of a semi cleared low lying shrub rural block where perhaps at some stage there was significant tree and bush cover. I suppose clearing needs to be undertaken for bushfire management purposes but I was expecting something else as per the advertising material had led me to believe. Apart from that the DULC cabins were nice enough, probably the ability to have a bath was the best bit. I was expecting a bit more posh for the money spent and at least a breakfast hamper which is the norm in these type of staycations. The fly screens had holes in them so spiders + mozzies were in the cabin at night, fine for me but my partner almost threatened to leave on the first night because of this ie: not very romantic when you don't like huntsman. The bbq did not have any gas so my steak was not cooked on the first night.
We did a nice hike to the nearby Mackenzie Falls which was the highlight of the trip along with the jam donut truck at the head of falls trail.
