We had a sensational Sunday lunch enjoying the winter sun outside. The pub was very busy and there were alot of places to sit inside though it was noisy. The roast of the day was so large we easily could have shared the plate and as it was we definitely didn’t need dinner that night! Enjoyed a couple of middies with our meal suggested by the bar staff. Everyone was super friendly and obliging. Will definitely return for a meal!

One of the best Sunday roasts we've had in Sydney huge portions, tons of very tasty gravy. Good veggies. The Yorkshire pudding wasn't very good but given how good the rest of the meal was, we didn't mind. Great value for money!!

Had my baby shower at the Dove and Olive. We chose to have the canapés catering option the food was amazing and the service was incredible. We paid a little extra to have a bar staff support our event. Unfortunately I can’t remember her name but she was awesome. Thanks again can’t wait to have more events here.

A charming and quaint Surry Hills pub that provides a great option for functions.
We hired out an upstairs room for a birthday party and were impressed by the quality options for food, alcohol and the space.
The space itself is large enough to accommodate 30 people comfortably and the decor with cute stain-glass lights and hunting lodge busts added to the quaint atmosphere. All in all would recommend for a dinner and drink or two, as well as functions.

Busy pub with great atmosphere. We went today for Sunday lunch. Lucky to find a free table as most were reserved. Didn't think to make a booking, so would highly recommend reserving table. We had their Sunday Roast (lamb) and the classic cheese burger with chips. Both hearty and big serves.

Cool bar. Tends to get rammed on Friday evenings after work. Good selection of craft beers and staff who know what they are talking about.

I'm not wowed and I'm not upset. It just is what it is: a slightly below average pub capitalising on a great location. Why stress out about food, decent wine and a cute beer garden when the masses are going to come in their droves anyway?

Delicious food and beer, casual vibe and friendly service. We walked 40 min from Circular Quay to get here and it was worth it. Awesome selection of tap beers and the bartender had good suggestions for other things to check out in Sydney. I had the fish fry and my husband had the Sunday pot roast and both were hearty and delicious. Reasonably priced and you get a ton of food. Fun, chill atmosphere.

The sticky short rib was good. The spring slaw had coriander in it though.. So. Not so good Haha Service and ambience was fine. For a Sunday night roast. The boys loved their roast (beef) had all the trimmings.
The salted caramel tart was good. The raspberry sauce cuts the richness well

26 Taps of local brew and good feed on nightly specials. Great venue space upstairs close to central station. Parking can be difficult as is in thick of inner city residential. Bar staff friendly and educative.

A good pub for a Friday lunch or drinks with a standard selection of cheap menu options and a fantastic range of beers. Ask the staff if you can't decide - they change the range often. Most of their beers are worth trying.

Great pub for beers 🍺and a cheap meal. The upstairs area is fantastic and retains some old world charm with beautiful stain glass light covers and booth seating.. if you're heading here then definitely head upstairs to sit but order your drinks from downstairs where the beer menu is far more extensive. Be warned this place shuts up by midnight

One of my favourite places to have a beer with my friends. Usually crowded, which is the downside, but well located and with plenty of options to drink and eat. Don't miss their week specials.

Great selection of beers. Good food. Had dimmi promotion so food was 50% off. So it was excellent value. Prices without the discount were ok.

Firstly, it must be said that the staff are lovely, inclusive and friendly which is always nice. Have been here when it has been crazy busy, but just now is a lovely, quiet post-Christmas summer afternoon with the cricket on the telly and it's just as good. Nice, unpretentious local.

What a great spot for lunch, diner, a meeting or just to enjoy the vibrancy of the place. There's a large variety of tap beers that are ever evolving to keep those enthusiasts coming back!
FYI they also have a take away section if you need to take some drinks away. For such a busy area, Surry Hills lacks a decent bottle shop!
