  I’ve been shopping at DeMaria’s in Richmond since opening and been very happy with the quality and service … until now. Yesterday I bought a 2 litre St David full cream milk which was of poor quality. It refused to froth in my coffee machine. It was watery and of questionable flavour. The manager told me firstly she couldn’t accept it back and that because it had been opened she couldn’t resell it! Was she for real? This is after i said I’m returning it because the quality is bad. She said this was the first time anyone had complained. She then said she would give my money back but she was doing me a favour and that she wouldn’t do such a thing normally. It wasn’t over the $6 refund … I said she needs to know so she can tell her supplier - otherwise how do they know they have a quality problem? This is an expensive milk cafes use and they would be returning it for exactly the same reason. She then said she had other customers waiting and turned her back on me. Since Richmond Traders has opened I have wanted to support the new kid on the block - even though it's much easier to shop in one go at Coles and for most of the time Coles fruit and veg is good enough.

  As a long term Richmond resident I was overjoyed when DeMaria's opened and I sampled their goods!Fabulous quality and staff so helpful regarding information on the products.My day is always brighter after I've been to the store.Alice was my go to person today and her lovely smile brightened a dreary day!Thanks De Maria's.

  Best grocer ever! The produce are in good quality and the prices are reasonable. We’re so lucky to have this as our local.

  I feel very lucky to have De Maria’s around the corner from where I live. They have really amazing products, excellent service. If that’s not enough, there is a hard round cheese that my grandmother used to grate onto the pasta instead of Parmesan and they somehow managed to get in for me, I am very much obliged thank you!

  Good prices for opening of store. They hope to keep prices competitive.
  Fruit & Vegetables are good quality.
  Deli has good selection of fresh salads, and fruit salads, juices. Some areas of Deli still in process of opening up, but easy to move around the isles.
  You will need own bag, or you'll be charged .10c a bag.
  Staff helpful.
