This used to be a hotspot in Frankston but on our recent visit we found the food was bland and unimaginative, the decor uninspiring and there were few patrons. Sadly, the view from the bistro is about the only good thing going for this place now.

Travelling through Frankston today (having been to see the sand sculptures) I stopped for lunch at this hotel and am so glad I did. Was amazed at how quickly my meal came out, delighted that it was quite yummy (would love the recipe for the wonderful dressing on the salad) and found the staff really friendly and helpful. Was told they are closing next week for major renovations. Hope this leaves the service as good as it is now.

Went here for a late Saturday lunch, and the food was absolutely amazing. Great value, great views, great value. Would definitely return.

Had lunch there. Nothing special. Just a pub. Mashed potato was not mashed very well. Pie was good. Wine list very basic. Service ok ish.

Stay away. Just had a lazy Saturday lunch with my wife and thought we would tried Daveys hotel as the menu look awesome. Staff looked like it was a funeral, never a thank you or how were your meals. The food sounds great on the menu but nothing like what is presented. Cold lumpy mash, veggies which could be beaten in my microwave at home. Sorry Daveys $100 for two probably better used at Subway.
