This is probably the best place for authentic Italian pizzas on the peninsula. Having said that, they're huge pizzas especially the Calzone which is definitely enough for two unless you have a day of manual labour behind you!
Nice selection. Good beer and wine list too. Bill for an Italian beer and a pizza approx. $30. Informal dining mainly at long benches with some outdoor seating for the good days. This has the advantage of being to the side of main street.response / report this review -

A little piece of Italy in Mornington. Lovely atmosphere and food. In house deli for small goods purchases. Friendly staff and tasty pizzas. Licensed for wine and beers. Deliciosa!

My daughter went to DOC Mornington last night with a group of friends. They all loved the food and she was raving about their amazing service. Their waiter Eros and other waiters made them feel very welcome and were extremely attentive throughout the whole dinner. Thank you DOC for a great dinner!! Will be back soon :))

Worst service ever!!! My wife went there with a reservation for 8, she was with my two daughters 5 and 9 weeks old and had been told she couldn't come in with the pram!!!
We ate there two months ago and came with the same pram and didn't have any problem with the pram, probably because I was there
the waiter even took the pram and pushed it in and said " you see it doesn't fit" very rude and very aggressively!!!
My wife had to leave the restaurant very embarrassed and our other friends who were already waiting left with my wife and kids
the restaurant was empty at the time, I wonder why!!!
Worst service ever!!! If I could leave a ZERO STAR review, I would!!response / report this review -

Quite disappointed, had been there twice before with incredible service but this third time was not as happy. We ordered 2 pizzas and a salad for lunch, expecting to order desert and coffee afterwards, but our pizza came out without the salad. One of the wait staff asked 'you ordered a salad, didn't you?' and we said yes and thought they were going to get it, however it had clearly not been put through as we inquired again about it about 10 mins later once we were almost finished our pizzas and asked if it was ready and if not just forget the salad as we were planning to have it with the pizzas not after and without even an apology the waiter said 'fine.' and went back inside. We then did not feel welcome there and paid for our food, with still no apology. The food was great, just sad their service wasn't up to their regular standard

Love it every time we come here. This place deserves 5 stars by everyone. It's a genuine Italian experience and the food is always great no matter what you choose. The staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is alive

We were very disappointed to receive appalling service from one of the wait staff while waiting in line for seating. He was rude in passing us to clear a table outside and i as tried to get his attention he not only ignored me but upon my second friendly attempt to ask a simple question he aggressively spun around and said 'cant you see'! Prompting me to look at what he had just cleared from a table and went about his business. We have just moved to the area and we were looking forward to our first visit to DOC and all can say is we are extremely disappointed to have experienced such bad manners to which we decided to take our leave and dine elsewhere.

Quiet day so service was prompt. Had a stroller and was accommodated which is always nice. Only error was bringing out the incorrect coffee. Second time there and will no doubt go again.
