I took my family to the city family and they wouldn't let us in.
A shame that we will now not return to Bendigo for a family holiday.
I have never been so humiliated when I was told that I was intoxicated when I don't drink.

More like a casino than a local pub

Right next to the Bendigo Bank Centre it is quite clear which pub the people of Bendigo prefer, and it is certainly not this place. Okay, they appear to have cheap food (though I would hardly call $2.50 for a biscuit cheap). Despite the cheap food, in the end the City Family Hotel is nothing more than a pokies pub. In fact the pokies take up most of the space, though there is a small area where you can sit and drink your beer (or eat $2.50 biscuit). There is an outdoor area, but that consists of basically two tables and some chairs, though it is next to the creek.
