The maisonetts are very well located behind the Wine Bar. The downside is the very loud music till late. Room was very small and bathroom is tiny with only shower, toilet and hand basin and not much room to move. Trundle bed could do with being replaced. The movable clothes hangar takes up too much space. Beautiful old building though and the verandah lovely place to have your pre dinner drinks. Had breakfast in Wine Bar standard fare reflected by the reasonable prices..

Room is nice
Bathroom was very very small
King size bed as advertised was a double ?!?
We are both 6ft and 6ft4.. not good enough.
We had parking on arrival then it was taken and we had to walk from the side street with our luggage down the lengyhy drive.
Its not what we booked. disappointed.
We have family here but want be staying here again.response / report this review -

I have stayed one of my worst days in Allawah Bendigo. It first started when I first arrived exhausted from travel and had to take all my luggage to my room and found out its not the room I booked with a kitchen. I called the room serviced and they had me change my room into another one in a different street. Since they didn't prepare the new room for me, the heater wasn't on and it took forever to heat the apartment for me. The next day I changed my apartment to another one from Allawah Bendigo which was a bit nicer, but got ants problem. Ants are everywhere in that apartment and just keep on gathering around food even if you leave it for a short period. I called room service again and they said unfortunately its Bendigo's nature when we move towards spring and they just advised to cover my food. I was so disappointed that they didn't even offered to change the room for me..

Welcoming smiling staff, especially Matthew. Automatically made me comfortable. Maisonette room compact but functional. Everything you need for a single/couple. Bed comfortable. Homely to walk into on arrival- the small touches-- heater on, lamp on. Good breakfast out the front at the wine bar. Good location. Would definitely return. Thanks for everything 😁

Enjoyed our stay in the centre of Bendigo. Finding the entrance was intersting but off-street parking was great. The room was small and the bathroom/shower a little cramped. Very limited kitchen facilities.
