  Such a gorgeous and peaceful place to stay and excellent that we could bring our furbaby ! Gwen was a wonderful host and meals in the restaurant delicious!!

  We have just come back from a wonderful stay at Chilverton Cottages over the Christmas period. Three days of total relaxation. Platypus cottage directly overlooks the river & it was hard to do anything other than stare at the river looking at the tortoises & hoping to see a platypus ( which we did!) And all the wonderful bird noise was a delightful backdrop to the river.
  Gwen cooked us a wonderful 3 course meal on Christmas Eve for my birthday. How she had the time & energy I do not know as the next day we had a most amazing Christmas lunch . It included every possible item you could want on your Christmas table. And then some!
  Gwen is a wonderful host while Bruce is kept very busy attending to the grounds.
  The cottage itself was a delight. Very comfortable & clean. We loved it & so did our puppy dog & we hope to have the chance to stay again.

  Our stay at Platypus Cottage was delightful. Sitting on the deck watching the river go by with tortoises bobbing about, listening to the birds, and taking in the stunning forest with tall trees was so relaxing. The cottage was immaculate, well-equipped with a very comfortable bed. The grounds of Chilverton Cottages are beautifully maintained and provide a great walk - don't miss the suspension bridge across the creek.
  
  Three course meal was fabulous. Gwen and Bruce were delightful and caring people. They have put a lot of hard work into maintaining and making Chilverton Cottages really special. Very dog friendly too!

  A wonderful tranquil weekend from the moment we arrived. No Wifi and no phone reception - Heaven. We were met on arrival by Gwen who made us and our fur babies very welcome and comfortable and the cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed. Puppies joined us for dinner with their own set 3 course meal and again for our massage which was interesting to say the least - well done Gwen for working so well around them - you can fit a human and two pups on one massage table! can't wait to return.

  We stayed in the kingfisher studio, beautifully set amoungst the trees/garden , very clean, makes you feel very much like it's only you there in the tranquil garden's. We had the set three course meal for our three night stay, food was all delicious. Hostess was very friendly and helpful.
  Staying at the cottages turned out to be a blessing, accommodation at mount surprise was all booked out which is how we ended up at Chilverton.
  Chilverton is only a short drive to most attractions where as Mount Surprise would have been a two to three hour drive to see anything. Mount surprise has the Lava caves but that's it.
  Would highly recommend Chilverton to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle as well as being in a central location for your tourist outings.

  What a fantastic weekend we had with Gwen & Bruce at Chilverton Cottages on the Atherton Tablelands. The accommodation was absolutely fantastic with so many different styles to choose from. Could not believe how private all the different types of accommodation were. Day Spa is fantastic, meals great along with the service. Chilverton Cottages goes above and beyond what one would expect in today's accommodation market.
  The grounds of Chilverton Cottages were well maintained and very relaxing.
  Would definitely recommend Chilverton Cottages to anyone who is after a relaxation getaway on the Atherton Tablelands.
  Chilverton Cottages is also pet friendly however we did not make use of this option but saw the fantastic doggy area created for this purpose. Thanks Gwen and Bruce we will be back :)
