Most Underrated Indian food in Launceston. I go the lamb vindaloo and it was actually spicy unlike 99% in Launceston. The meals are so cheap considering how much you get. Will definitely be going back
Very rude staff, and hygiene is sub - standard. Upon asking if I could place a takeaway order, I was told to "make it quick!" as they were closing in 10 minutes🤨.
While waiting for my food another customer was waiting at the counter to pay, after ringing the service bell no one came out, so the customer knocked on the kitchen door around the side, still nobody came out!! If employees did not have earbuds in mabye they could hear what is happening around them!😦
Half an hour later I received my food never to set foot back into that dark and dingy place!
Hands down the worst tasting yet most expensive Indian I have had, chicken in tomato soup would taste more like butter chicken than this, with the longest wait time and staff that talk over the top of you, certainly won't be coming back here!
First time customers here. Everything we ordered for our takeaway was absolutely fantastic. The best Indian cuisine we have found here in Launceston. Great value for money, combined with great service.
We were visitors to Launceston so don't know if this place is usually heaving, but the Saturday night we went there was only one other group. We got takeaway. The food was quick and absolutely amazing. We had some entrees & a beef curry. The flavours were divine & the beef was lovely & tender. The staff were super lovely too. I hope more people check this place out!
This is a must visit joint for veg and non-vegetarian foodies in Launceston. The kebabs are tender and juicy, and full of flavours, while at the same time the meat is well done. The mutton dishes are delicately well-balanced, and the meat is soft and melts in the mouth. The Staff are polite and ready to help. In short, this place offers a pleasant dining experience. Thanks Guys To Make our Night memorable .🍺🍻
If you're looking for a great Indian meal , go there . Great tastes of India . Good value .
I'll be back for sure .
Inexpensive. Good sized portions. Very tasty but a little sweet compared to the cuisine I am used to. Good naan bread anf fluffy rice.
It's hidden away inside the RSL sub-branch.
Great Indian hospitality. We went twice and both the time the experience was awesome. The food was very yummy that we were not able to control to take photo and started eating. 1st day we reached bit late and it was cold outside. Sarpreet singh (one of the restaurant owner) offered complimentary tea in traditional Punjabi style.
Next day we went at lunch time ordered combo meal. But unknowingly we ordered both dry curry. We took dal makhni additional to combo but at the time of payment another guy (not able to remember his name) didn't charged for it. And said you are our guest and that's complimentary from our side
I never saw such hospitality in any restaurant in Australia as well as in india.
Must try items lunch combo. Butter chicken and dal makhni.
I really wanted to like this place and was happy to overlook the shabby surroundings for some great food. The food was actually pretty good but our meal got delivered to the wrong table and sat there getting colder and colder until everyone twigged. I had to bring this to the attention of the staff. Normally you would expect pretty effusive apologies in this situation. We got a very begrudging 10% off (which by the way is on top of their advertised prices - they’re ex GST). And, to be clear, there were only TWO tables occupied!!
So, unfortunately we won’t be returning.
Great service! The best naan bread I've had for awhile.
