Food is good, but the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired.
Still plaster dust on the floor near the drinks fridge from having NBN installed. (Well over 3 years ago, and still there) Hate to see the kitchen!!!response / report this review -

Taj is my absolute favourite. Over the years I’ve tried most of the Indian places around Hobart a few times but my partner and I always come back to Taj. The prices are cheap, the servings are huge, and the food is the most tasty and delicious ever!!! Don’t go there if you’re looking for a fancy meal, instead get takeaway when you’re craving wholesome food! their veggie dishes are amazing!
$40 at Taj feeds me and my partner twice - and we eat until we feel sick both time. What more could you ask for?response / report this review -

Ordered Taj curry to be delivered over the Easter break. We’ve been fans for quite a while but has seen some quality discrepancies between ordered over the years. However the meal this past week was so good! Just like it used to be, delicious sauce, heaps of tender meat, great naan and papadums! Thanks Taj Palace ^_^

We eat here regularly. Food is authentic Indian cuisine. We enjoy a beer or wine from a wide selection. However, it appears to be a family restaurant and the owner permits his young daughters to sit with patrons and play their I pass loudly which interrupted our conversation causing us to leave earlier than we would have preferred.

Excellent food Quality of Taj palace . I am taking Lamb chop Maharani , Believe me ultimately yummy taste with Complimentary rice . This Dish is really very Special I am about to finish but going to share photo of Lamb Chop Maharani . CHEERS
