Fantastic tour! John was a great guide and we'd love to come back and explore the lower levels!

My wife and I wanted a brief introduction to the mine and took the surface tour for $6.50. It wasn’t extensive and wasn’t that great but gave a reasonable overview of the Maine’s operation and working life at the mine.

Ian was a fantastic tour guide! Very knowledgeable with his facts. Well worth going on the underground tour, you really get a sense of what it was like.

Awesome tour. I highly recommend the tour guide loene. He was very informative and I absolutely enjoyed the underground mine tour. I highly recommend the conish pie aswel. The conish pie is the pies the miners are when they walked underground and the story of how it's made is pretty interesting.

I have a new respect for Tram drivers. It's not easy. Enjoyed the tour of Bendigo and the sites along the way. However it's difficult to hear the commentary over the sound of the Tram. It's possible to hop on and off and see the sights of Bendigo, so allow time for this as it is worth exploring

We went on the 61 Metre underground mine tour. The super knowledgeable friendly guide definitely made the experience. Not too much to do aside from the tour & a little gold panning but there's plenty of old school machinery to view & everything has been well preserved. It's pretty chilly & obviously dark going down the mine & you're packed pretty tight into the lift so if you're the claustrophobic type, I wouldn't recommend it. Otherwise worth doing at least the once.

Awesome tour of the most prosperous goldfields in Victoria. More in depth than the soverign hill tour. Kinda expensive though

The Nine Levels of Darkness tour was one of the best I've undertaken. Generous, knowledgeable, experienced tour guides gave us every opportunity to learn and explore the lower levels of the (absolutely brilliant) mine, with an answer for every question. Cornish pastie lunch underground was a highlight. I cannot recommend this too much. Money very well spent.
