Fantastic service from Taylor and Jen!
Good flavoured strong coffee. Chilli eggs are to die for!

I arrived in a rush for the airport and they accommodated me so well despite how busy they were. Food and coffee on table in 10 minutes! Awesome place !

Great little cafe, just very very busy (I went in on a Monday morning), plus the music they were playing was quite loud, so not the place to go if you want to be able to think or try to talk without shouting. Good coffee though and a menu with a difference not your average menu.

Food as it is ought to be. Good coffee and engaging food with a great combination of flavours. The green mayo slaw was amazing and the Ruebens sandwich was done perfectly. Great atmosphere, but it might not be for everyone as is a bit crowded and loud. Service is friendly, but a bit slow. Food can be pricy, but it is worth it as it is quite unique. Best food I have had in Cairns.

Good coffee and nice atmosphere. A bit pricey, but portion sizes are big, so feel free to share. I felt that the music was too loud, difficult to have a conversation. Otherwise, a nice place.

Wicked food, flavours and presentation top notch. Chilled beats to start the day. From the sunny coast so used to some good cafes and this place definitely was worth a visit.

Awesome service, great food and a unique atmosphere.

Still love it two years later.

Still consistently good, although a menu change would be nice. Try the chai tea as well, the best my wife has ever tasted.

Update: New site just next door, different vibe but still Caffiend. Now open for dinner and the menu looks fantastic, yet to try though. Breakfast menu is still relatively similar and still awesome.

Very good flat white, with a strong coffee flavor but not bitter. It wasn't too foamy like some I've had. The breakfast menu has about 10 choices and they're decently varied. I didn't want a big breakfast, so I just got sourdough toast with their housemate preserves, which were strawberry. The toast was good and crunchy, although it could have used a bit less butter to keep the crunch, and I'm used to butter in the side. The preserves were a bit runny, so they were hard o get into a knife, but there were easy to spread. I like the openness of the space, and the fact that one side opens in an alley full of cool graffiti. The fact that it's down an alley means it's much quieter than places fronting on a Main Street. You may j stumble upon it, but maps apps have it.

Don't go anywhere else! Ordered a piccolo (was very good and well made) and their "Morning glory" breakfast (an all-in meal) which was also very good. The flavours in both coffee and food were just right and this place has better quality and better service than anything else on the strip.
