If your motto is "life's too short for bad coffee", this place will not disappoint. Their coffee is the right temperature whilst being smooth and full flavoured. I was in coffee heaven. Their food is also amazing. The only faults I would say they have is that they need a larger space as it is now crowded there and you sometimes can't get a table inside as it's packed, yet it's too hot in the summer to sit outside. Also they are not open on Sundays. Yes, staff need a life too but that is why you incorporate a rotating roster. I'm sure it is popular enough to cover wages for Sunday trade. Well done Cafe Matteo!

The coffee was tasty I will give them that, and the floor staff were accommodating. Unfortunately, the food was very underwhelming, to say the least. After a longer than usual wait (no apologies) the chef came out of the kitchen, sat down and talked to his mate, then finally returned to the kitchen as we waited longer. Meals arrived, poached eggs were well overdone, the corn fritters were under cooked, gooey centered. The manager explained they were understaffed.but there were floor staff aplenty who could have kept on top of our table and at least approached us to ease the upset. More meals were offered but politely declined due to the current situation so coffee credit was then agreed. I hope they use this as a learning curve. Less floor, staff more chefs/cooks.

3rd time lucky.
Went to Mama Coco who were closed. Went to the Botanical Gardens then left after waiting 20 minutes without getting served. Plan C was Cafe Matteo that we had been meaning to try.
Great coffee, excellent food, top service, better priced than the other cafe's and really great interior design.

Amazing staff! I go there pretty much everyday to get my lacto free hot chocolate! And they do it amazingly I recommend all my friends there! Amazing wraps as well
