Sorry to say but the Monday night special menu wasn't up to scratch.
I usually love the bridge but the menu of a hamburger only, was average and raw. With not even bar snacks available had to take the kids for take away after..
Staff friendly and courtyard well set up, will try another night.

New owners have given it a revamp in the beer garden. Looks great. A much improved atmosphere since the reopening. I haven't had a meal yet but they look great and and all reports are very positive. Forgot to get some photos, will do next trip.

Food was excellent once it came. The lighting was way too dark, it was unpleasant in effect. Service was hot and cold.

Popped in for a midweek lunch while passing through Castlemaine and enjoyed it a great deal.
The pub has a cruisey, laid back atmosphere with a sunny beer garden that magically makes your beer taste better than normal.
Foodwise, I ordered a burger that was the size of a small planet yet surprisingly cheap. Most importantly, it was delicious and I managed to put it away with minimal stretch marks on my stomach.
Definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

Table service for drinks was like a restaurant and unexpected.
    Choice of meals is limited.
I had a scotch steak medium to well.
Was cooked rare and was very tough.
Kids meal of pasta was "just that" pasta with a bit of cheese on top. No sauce at all.
When the new owners reopened the Bridge the menu was more exciting. Now its just what it is I guess.
    Last time for me.

Great pub. Food is yum, and if you have to wait a bit longer than normal (I never have - but have read comments here that state otherwise), perhaps people should be mindful that the food is made with love, is made fresh to order and they want to make sure it's perfect. These guys put their heart and soul into running this awesome country pub, you can tell they live and breathe it. Beware of bad reviews from cranky locals that don't like change! Great selection of drinks from tap beer, local wines to high-end spirits. Only downside is that once I'm there I don't want to leave!! One of those places you can sit for hours, chatting to locals, reading the paper, playing pool, watching the footy, reading a book, whatever you fancyit's ace. Last time we were there, a live country band was playing in the courtyard in the afternoon and they were fantastic!! You can also catch some pretty big names in the rock and roll world in the band room Friday and Saturday nights - worth checking the website or calling the pub to find out who's playing. Props to the team that make this place tick. I love it :)

Spent the night before New Years Eve here with work colleague's & had a blast. Food was ok, service was good & prices were on par with what you'd expect. Great set up & good atmosphere when it's busy.
