Very hospitable and helpful, I arrived at 8.20, hungry, and they raced around and made me a meal & they found a couple of Guinness cans which were cold and went down well, they were happy to re-charge my phone, for which I am In appreciation for. Great place would go back in a flash.

Boomerang Hotel in Mackay Nth Qld it' s an old hotel. Lately, in the last 3 years the Managers have done a little bit of 'renos' and uplifted the 'o'l fellow' inside and out!😊 New paint inside, decorations tastefuly brightened the hotel up. Also flooring has been changed. New tables and chairs has been added. My partner and I we live in Mackay, so we've never had an opportunity to stay in Boomerang's motel style units. But a lot of companies workers from out of town are using regularly hotel's accommodation which includes all meals. I can recommend having lunch or dinner at 'Boomerang' Hotel-Motel. We went there on 14th of May 2017, for a lovely lunch served with a free drink for mum's, and also a lovely bouquet of chrisantenums😊Lovely and fast service, fresh buffet lunches and dinners including soup, cold and hot meats, the same with vegs. Large choices, plus desserts! Yummy! Place was clean, good food worth of the money spent, and the young people's services appealing. We recommend 'Boomerang' hotel to any local people, as well to visitors where you can have a nice meal, be served by a friendly and helpful Staff for a reasonable price.

Don't expect too much from the cheapest hotel in town. Aircon was cold, bed was small but comfortable and they have a pool. It looks better inside the rooms than they look on the outside.

Atmosphere was lacking. Food was what you would expect for $12 bar meals. We were looking for a cheap pub to eat and we found it! Not bad.

Dinner here was very good value for money and the staff were friendly and very helpful, for a Friday night steak and 3course buffet meal for under $20 you can't go wrong. Buffet food was fresh and a good selection.

Not too bad at all, pretty basic rooms but they were very neat and tidy and very well priced. Their all-you-can-eat buffet was RIDICULOUSLY cheap and amazing value. They have a bar, but they're right next door to a Liquorland, so the prices are kept reasonable.
