  Blue Tongue Pools Pty Ltd is insolvent and is being liquidated, which is unsurprising given the disorganised, untruthful and dishonest manner in which it was being run. Their licence has been suspended and they do not exist any more. Good riddance.

  Unethical, dishonest and arrogant. Applied to have this pool builder disciplined by MBA and had to resolve pool warranty rectification through NCAT.

  We couldn’t be happier with our pool & spa from Bluetongue Pools, but there are definitely a few learnings from the process.
  
  Positives
  
  1. Seeing the finished product and how much goes into building the pool, we’re glad we chose a quality pool builder, there’s not a single thing we would change.
  
  2. We received a detailed quote upfront & we were impressed how well they managed the project and costs without any major surprises along the way.
  
  3. If you’re thinking about putting in a spa, do it! The spa & gas heater are worth every cent. Our kids continue to use it, with quick dips into the colder pool right throughout winter.
  
  Negatives
  
  1. Plan everything out properly, or expect delays. We made a few small changes along the way which slowed down the project (custom tiles, adjoining pergola needing DA) plus some rain didn’t help.
  
  2. Solar heating extends the months the pool can be used comfortably, but it doesn’t do much in the middle of winter. Perhaps this was wishful thinking living on the south coast.
  
  3. There are additional costs we hadn’t considered which aren’t big, but all add up – a box to cover the pool pump, new grass & landscaping, plus a bit of extra plumbing & electrical.
  
  Overall, Bluetongue Pools were professional, did everything they said they were going to do & delivered a pool which we just love every day we see it. Which is about as often as we use it, even in winter.

  We had a wonderful experience with Blue Tongue Pools. The team were always polite & professional. It was done within a reasonable time frame without huge delays. And we love the final product!
