There are no enough words to express my gratitude. Dr Phill is just Amazing. Thank you Thank you from the bottom of my heart for looking after Charlie for the past 8 years. & to the Amazing Staff members Mel, Katelyn, Ethan & Dakota for their kind words and support over the years. Just Beautiful people who show so much love, care & dedication. Always going above and beyond.
I highly recommend this clinic. I have been taking my elderly chicken, Sarah, here for several months now, since she developed shortness of breath. Dr Phil diagnosed a heart condition, and started her on medications which have given her a new lease on life. She is such a content, energetic chicken now, and has already far exceeded her life expectancy. Dr Phil and other members of the team always treat myself and Sarah with great kindness, compassion, and respect. He is very generous with his time, and expert advice, clearly outlining treatment options. I am more than happy to travel over 80 km to receive such fantastic care. We are so grateful. Thank you!
I had a phone consult with the avian vet about my chicken. The vet gave me some good advice and was sympathetic, but he was running half an hour late. I paid $100 for a half hour consult but felt hurried off the phone after twenty minutes. Because of this I didn’t get the chance to ask about two other issues affecting my bird.
Thank Dr. Phil, I got the best vet treatment not only in terms of physical but also emotional aspects. Dr Phil is really a person who cares about our pets, wants to provide best possible advise and help I have been to many respectable vets around Melbourne who won't even care about my concerns stating the pet feels great, when I can see he suffers. I will be sticking to this vet from now on and will be consulting Dr. Phil who is one of the best veterinarians so far in Melbourne.
My Pomeranian had surgery yesterday absolute brilliant experience, I would 100% recommend this veterinary practice they are knowledgable, professional and exceptionally caring.
The drive from mordialloc is so worthwhile knowing my lil darling is in the best of hands!! thank you team!!
…. also i would like to input after reading the rabies comment review below this person is just ignorant they have no clue of the process and they are clearly wanting to ship their animals internationally in the cheapest way possible without following the correct steps in order, you MUST go through a company that specializes in animal travel or you must have experience shipping your pets as the rabies titer test procedure takes the longest and a specialized transport company will refer you to a vet that will do this 1 step out of the 100 you will have to go through…. after bringing my 2 dogs home from dubai i would like to say do 👏🏻 your 👏🏻 research👏🏻 now…. animal entry into australia is 10x harder and the entire process is extremely expensive and takes ALOT of time (ive done the entry into australia 4yrs ago $25k for 2 dogs) i tried doing the process myself and realised very quickly to ask for help from a company who does it for a living …. its like me calling a vet up asking for diamond implants for my dogs teeth then throwing a hissy fit because the reception has no clue of what im talking about 😂🤪🙄
The best place to go for birds. My partner has been going here for over 10 years. Fantastic service. Excellent and friendly advice.
Fantastic vet. Staff are fabulous
Had a very sick Chicken and was lucky enough to be directed to the Bird Vet. After I described the symptoms they booked me in for that day. Amazing staff, the vet and nurse were both fantastic. Our chicken is recovering well.
Here is a vet that is great with birds. If you have a little (or big) feathered friend, your best bet is with these guys. They will see your bird friendly dog or cat too.
The Doctors and the Staff at The Bird Vet Clinic have done amazing job to look after my Budgie since September 2015. My Budgie has ongoing issues with his eye feathers. Their treatment, knowledge, professionalism, friendliness, compassion & attention to detail is first class. I highly recommend their services to any person who loves their pet and requires medical or behavioural assistance.
Great staff, great place - amazing service! The staff show a genuine concern and I felt like my birds were getting only the highest quality care.
Won't go anywhere else, now that I found this place :)
I recently spent a week doing placement at this clinic and I thought both practising vets (Phil and Esther) were extremely knowledgeable about avian medicine and lovely vets all-round. Quite a few reviews comment on the price of treatment at the clinic, however, if you compare the cost of treatments here with other clinics, you'll find it's quite reasonable, if not cheaper. Phil, Ester and the other staff genuinely care about the well-being of their patients: Hospital patients are given the largest cage possible with tons of toys and perches, hand-fed three times a day, frequently monitored, and kept at an incubated temperature of 25 degrees. I don't know why you would take your little feather-baby elsewhere when there are such high standards of avian care available here!
WE strive for brilliant value bird vet and chicken vet care and our fees are generally way less than dogs and cat veterinary fees. We also do a fair amount of wildlife and work with many welfare organisations. There are not many veterinary clinics dedicated to treating the avian patient. We do consent forms and give accurate estimates of fees upfront.
Spent a day with dr phil at Edgar's mission where he raised $600 for a microscope and volunteered his day teaching the staff how to use the microscope to diagnose various parasites/diseases. Caring and compassionate vet. Lial
Bird Vets and Avian vet Specialist -even open on Sunday- providing an good bird vet service in Melbourne- Its Great to be able to be so involved with Australian avian Wildlife rehabilitation, and chicken and kitten welfare groups. Thank you so much to all of you, out clients , for the donations we get to help cover welfare projects and some the costs of treating the many "owner-less" pets., and rescue animals.
Takes advantage of sick pet owners by charging ridiculous fees.. When you visit, expect at least $500 in checkups and treatments for over $2000. Not only that, Dr. Sacks can be really insensitive and blunt- guess you have to be pretty desensitised to people's emotions if you're taking their money at the expense of their grief!!
Greatest skill and service a vet could have and they are truly devoted to animals. The best with birds and less common pets.
Caring staff that will sympathise with you. Wouldn't trust our birds with any other vet. Very professional, but be prepared to wait a little while past your appointment time. Reasonable parking supplied.
