An average review- not great but not too bad! The owner called me at 9:30pm the night before to get my address despite him already having it which I found quite un-professional. The truck was an hour late to start the job. The team did a good job loading the truck, I would describe them as slow but safe! Took them 2 hours and 15 minutes to do the job but I was told I had to pay for the full 3 hours. This wasn't discussed prior so I ended up paying for basically an extra hour. Overall having a truck load of our items moved saved us a lot of hassle and stress but I would probably use a company with clearer pricing and T&C's next time.
Stay away!! Such a moving nightmare. Will charge you well over amounts quoted. Such bullies. I had to involve the police as they kept screaming at me after charging me $1.1k for a local move. The police helped negotiate this down. You would think they know how to do the job in any weather but they came I’ll prepared when the weather forecast showed it would rain all week and dumped my furniture downstairs. You are better off hiring the big professional companies. Rude, disrespectful and will leave your furniture scratched. They will not own up to any fault. My move started at 9.30am and ended at 10pm. Absolute circus! Big bullies who don’t listen and value customer service.
Best service ever found in Adelaide. Very professional and spontaneous responses. Reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
We booked the job with this company at least 6 weeks before the moving day. SP came and did the quote and advised us that we would need the big truck which we booked. Closer to moving day I requested the truck to arrive at 7.30am to start the pick up as we were told it would take about two and a half hours. As we were moving from Adelaide to Port Elliot the trip in the truck would be at least two hours then allowed another 2 hours to unload at Port Elliot. The day before the move SP rang me and told me there was a "slight" problem as the big truck was in Melbourne and wouldn't be unloaded there until about 10pm then the crew needed to have a break before returning to Adelaide and the truck would probably arrive at our house around 1pm. At 3pm the truck finally arrived with an extra person to "speed" the process up. 9pm that night all of our things were unloaded at Port Elliot. SP originally told me that all of our things would easily fit in the big truck. Uh uh. We had to hire a cage trailer the next day to pick up a lot of things left behind because of poor packing technique done in a hurry.. Then I had to return the day after to pick up what we couldn't fit in the trailer along with help from my brother who put a lot of things in his car and drove to Port Elliot with us. If anyone wants the full story of this move that would have been routine for a professional company let me know and I will gladly tell you. Cheap is not always the best and I hope others will learn from my mistake.
Best Movers is really considerate and flexible! He helped me move up to Adelaide from Victor Harbour and I cant express how easy he made my move. He stored my stuff for a week while I found a new place and worked with me to find a convenient time on the weekend to move my stuff in. Super great, will use him again!
