We spent the wknd here for my husbands birthday. The hotel is in a beautiful location with stunning views from every angle. The spa bath was one of the best we have experienced in a hotel and the bedding was very comfortable! The staff were all really friendly and helpful too.
What let's it down is the breakfast. Good produce but very basic choices, very disappointing. For $500 a night it wasn't quite the luxury we have come to expect but we will definitely visit again!response / report this review -

We had a nice stay at banisters. The view from our balcony over the pool and out over the sea was so beautiful. We saw a small family of dolphins swim passed and a pod of whales out deeper.
The spa room was nicely styled but the bed was very soft making it uncomfortable and we didn't get a good sleep. There was also a low pendent light that we bumped our heads on 10 times or more in our one night stay.
We come to banisters on the taste of the sea winter deal which was a nice idea, it included one night's stay and dinner at Rick Steins.
Dinner at the restaurant was very nice. The service was outstanding our waiter was very attentive. The entrees were outstanding I highly recommend the Green Mango salad, but the mains never lived up to the level of the entrees this was a little disappointing. also the taste of the see menu was very limited, it included 3 entrees and 3 mains with no vegiterian options.
On arrival at the hotel there r no signs to guide u to reception from the road. Our overall stay was pleasant and I would eat entrees at the restaurant again.response / report this review -

The menu and wine list are extensive, although if you don't like seafood you're in the wrong place! Having said that it's not your usual seafood. Rick Stein is famous for his spice and curry flavours and they are well represented on the menu. Pricing is at the higher end of the scale, but the food was excellent! I highly recommend it a and will return!
