  Enjoyed our stay. Spacious rooms, close to Four Mile Beach plus a terrific swimming pool with cool lighting at night. The manager is friendly and helpful. Happy to recommend.

  We stayed here for one week on early April. Located at the end of the main street in Port Douglas, and just across from Fourmile Beach was perfect for us. We found the apartment was very well presented, large and with a relaxed feel, and very comfortable. The kids loved spending time in the pool here too. Being in a ground floor apartment suited us perfectly, with a great tropical feel looking out on to the surrounding gardens, as well as easy access

  We were delighted with our Balboa experience. For a family holiday, the suite was ideal, being spacious, meticulously clean and modern, and superbly located, within easy walking distance of both 4 Mile Beach and the main shopping strip. The swimming pool was great for the children, and BBQ very convenient and clean. The well shaded external eating area was a great alternative to eating inside, and much used. Lynette and Andrew were delightful and attentive hosts. We will return

  Balboa apartments is by the far the best holiday apartments in Port Douglas. For the last 4 years our family has always stayed at Balboa.
  
  Balboa has got all the facilities you would ever need; heated outdoor swimming and spa, BBQ facilites, a toddlers pool. The apartments are very spacious, and fully self contained.
  
  Its literally located at the heart and pulse you want to be when your enjoying your holiday at Port Douglas. A stone's throw from the best beach "4 mile" and centrally located to all shops, cafes and award winning pubs and restaurants.
  
  Most importantly the management team lead by Lynette and Andrew are the best, they're simply awesome. The make your stay that much more better.

  Delightful, bright and airy apartment and wonderful hospital from the owners Andrew and Lynette, who couldn't have been more helpful in terms of where to go and local tourist spots and Great Barrier reef tours. My 2 sons and I enjoyed every minute. The facilities were first class and the whole ambiance of the place was amazing. Should I return to Port Douglas - which I really want to - I wouldn't stay anywhere else. So peaceful - I slept wonderfully! The cruise on the Lady Douglas, the customer service in the office of the "Flames of the Forst", the coffee shops and ice creams - all wonderful!

  Balboa is not grand or glamorous – just such a lovely relaxed comfortable place to come and stay.
  
  I love my two weeks in the Sun each year: I love the slow mornings, with the music playing – the time on the beach under the umbrellas and the walk down to the other end – or as far as I feel like going.
  
  I love coming back to my apartment for my afternoon coffee and snooze.
  
  I love the anticipation of the shower and getting a bit dressed up – not too much – this is Port remember! – and the walk up Macrossan Street to any of those wonderful restaurants for one of the best dinners I have ever had.
  
  And perhaps to stop for ice-cream on the walk back to my apartment at Balboa
  
  why would you go anywhere else?
