I have recently send 3 boxes. When received from collection centre,the boxes are ALREDY OPENED and significant amout of items are missing from the boxes.

When receiver raise the question why the boxes are opened they said the agent collected the goods.

That never happened before over 30yrs I be sending goods to Srilanka.NOT a single occasion received boxes opened.
Only this Freight company did this.never sending again through this AUSLAK.
BE WARE!
Never Recommend to anyone.

Relocated from Melbourne to Sri Lanka, used AUSTLAK CARGO from HALLAM, WARNING do not use them worst cargo company ever, was recommended so didn’t look at reviews - this is our fault. My goods came damaged, and in a terrible condition. Many of the boxes had been opened prior to customs inspection. We sent over 90 items, including tea chests ( so our losses in full will remain unknown) a count at the port was difficult as due to sheer volume items were in a number of locations. At home we know that we are missing about 3 tea chest size items. The people handing the clearance (AUSTLAK reps) at the port pay bribes and the expectation is that we cover these ‘payments. It was clear that when we mentioned missing items the representative became aggressive, all the hallmarks of a person trying to deflect from his corruption. You will also have to pay AUSTLAK fees to cover this representative’s bribes, for us it was Rs 1.6 Laks. As well as expectation to pay porters considerable amounts for doing their job.
I don’t know how AUSTLAK is still in business after 75+ reviews and they only average 1.7 stars.. don’t be cheated like us and so many others..

Only once we had used this service and they scammed us completely. Delay in providing the boxes by months, 1/3 items stolen in boxes and 1 box completely missing. They scam passport holders with high USD allowances to clear container loads from from customers who only sent few boxes. They use the low price to attract vulnerable customers and make a profit from USD allowances

After hearing/reading all the bad reviews we were sceptical about sending goods via Austlak. Since we had a very bad experience with Transco (goods were damaged by mice and cockroaches) ourselves, we decided on Austlak as they assured safe delivery of our goods and for their reasonable prices. They admitted that they had issues in the past and that all have been resolved now. Our goods did take little over 2months to be delivered but all was in good condition.

The worst cargo company, Don't ever send your cargo or any confinements through Austlak Cargo. I send three boxes, receipt attached and received totally damaged boxes at my home Sri Lanka, most of the stuff missing. When contacted they blame me that I send boxes with over weight without proper evidence. You can see how they handle the boxes. The person who spoke to me said my boxes are very heavy and he also text me that they have informed my wife when they come to collect the cash - which is totally a lie as I transferred cash online and they never came to my house to collect cash. This is so un professional and never even bother to accept their own fault. If the boxes are heavy they would have denied at the first place. Once the damaged your consignment due to poor handling they will give you many excuses and false accusations. Worst company to handover the goods send to your loved ones. Hay "Austlak people", don't do this to your own people and the good send to relatives with hard earned money!!!

You didn't even try to accept the fault, just started blaming my package was overweight. You just lied stating that you informed my wife when came to collect cash, which is completely false statement. You never tried to compensate, even didn't accept your careless package handling. We don't want to claim false list and no one is sending empty boxes to families, its full of groceries. I never claim that it had expensive stuff but given list is what is missing. However my stuff is missing and no point of talking to extremely unprofessional companies. My request is PEOPLE DONT USE AUSTLAK CARGO !!! We used you thinking you are a Sri Lankan company and ended up totally disappointing like over 250 people provided very bad reviews. Do you think all 250 are wrong???? Just check my boxes to understand how carefully your people handled it. When complained you can tell everyone, it was damaged due to over weight. This is completely false accusation. DONT EVER USE AUSTLAK FOR ANY KIND OF DELIVERY, YOU WILL LOSE YOUR GOODS AND MONEY BOTH!!
