Extremely disappointed with the services of African Wildlife Safaris. They charged $4,000 in fees to make a simple booking for our honeymoon and tried to take advantage of Covid to charge the same excessive amount again when we were forced to postpone travel due to restrictions. Would never use again and do not recommend. If you use, recommend asking for disclosure of the fees they are charging you as these are not offered up transparently.

African Wildlife Safaris (AWS) arranged the first leg of our glorious 2020 Grand Africa Tour (via a Travel Agent). We were to celebrate our 20th year anniversary as well as my wife's 50th birthday with 3 weeks covering Botswana/Zimbabwe (AWS), then 10 nights on a Luxury Escapes tour of Kenya and Tanzania, then 6 nights getting to/from the Seychelles. Alas, Covid-19 has shattered our 2-year dreams, and we will not be able to do our coveted trip.
African Wildlife Safaris is the first counterparty to screw us. They took our $1,523 deposit last year, and now they are saying that our options are (1) "cancel" (when of course we would like to go on our trip!!) or (2) take a $705 haircut, and take a $818 credit for travel in 2021. Please make sure you consider carefully dealing with this unprofessional and unscrupulous outfit.

Every safari we saw leopard. With the previous company (won’t mention their name) didn’t see any leopards.

My wife and I used African Wildlife Safaris for our trip to Africa in July 2016. We are seasoned travellers and were specific about what we wanted to do and how we wanted to do it. Organising the trip was a logistics challenge and African Wildlife Safaris were recommended. Well, they certainly got it right. Camps were organised in the North (Chaka Camp) and Central (Kati Kati Camp) Serengeti and in the Okavango Delta (Kanana Camp). These selections were excellent and provided a great variety. The selection of hotels and lodges at Victoria Falls, Ngorongoro Crater, Chobe National Park, Cape Town and J'burg were perfect for us location and standard wise.
Why did all this work so well. Our local travel agent ( Judy Gillings from Travel Managers Australia) worked very well with African Wildlife Safaris. The organisational skills and knowledge of both teams were top class and finally African Wildlife Safaris' Anne -Marie has extensive on the ground experience of the African Safari scene and has strong links will local operators. We had a great experience.
