What can I say about a coffee shop full of books as I almost don’t want to leave the place! Their price is very reasonable compared to other high end cafes and their breakfast is very satisfying! Moreover, I love the ambiance here! Good coffee + breakfast + books = happiness!

This is a great spot to hangout and have breakfast or just a drink. Can get a little tight in there, not a ton of tables available but it's a really cool cozy space. They have a large and interesting selection of books available in German and English, worth a look around even if you aren't eating there.

Very Nice concept !
The hot chocolate is Amazing! You can have snacks and good cakes.
There is also a good sélection of books.

The only point: music is a bit loud

Very cute cafe! They have a great selection of books, including English books. I also loved looking at the comics and children's books- the art was beautiful. We didn't get to eat or drink because they close the outdoor portion at 11pm on Saturday and the coffee machine was already shut down when we arrived at 10:30pm.

Hipster central. Was expecting warm breakfast but its sandwiches you make yourself. Classic Austrian, cold cuts, cheese. I would go back but maybe not for breakfast. After the meal you can go browse/shop the bookstore.

One of the best contemporary coffee houses in town. Nice atmosphere and crowd. There are sometimes readings, live concerts, books, and the furniture used is for sale, thus continually changing. Coffee is good. Only problem here, often, because of its success, the available space is too limited.

The place has the ambiance of a library. You can read the books there or buy them. It's a hipster hangout. The staff were not really friendly and the service was a bit slow. But it's a nice place to read and drink coffee.

You can rarely find a place in Vienna like that. Not a typical Viennese coffee, so if you are tourist, looking for the traditional taste of the city, you better choose one of Freud's favorite coffeehouse on the other side of the street (Kaffee Sperl). In Phil you can't really know if you are in a bookshop, where you can have nice snacks and drinks or in a coffee house where you can read books. Actually that is a great mixture!

A mixture of great service and atmosphere, but also a mixture of people and generations. I go there with my friends or invite business partners or just read alone in the companion of a good coffee. I also go there with my 3 years old son to take a hot chocolate. The cakes are home made, the setting is vintage and the personal is very friendly. For me Phil is like going to friend's place.

Very cozy cafe / book store
I like to come here to have a tea while working on projects or just to relax.
It is a really well decorated place with nice waiters and open minded people who don't mind having a chat with a stranger (mostly)
