Very bad manners. Staff really need training and empathy. Too many people and it's better to get less people and comfort and too much and discomfort. Prices were mistaken. TO AVOID!

Excellent service & great food. I didn't know the restaurant was more than just the snacks at the bar. Skip the bar area and enjoy a real meal in the restaurant area. This allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of the tourists and regulars but still enjoy the atmosphere of the downtown locale.

One of the best multifunction locals in Vienna center.
Visiting 3th time in 2 years, the restaurant has highly evaluated the kitchen and may be soon will have at least one star..
The best bread I ate in our 3 days food&wine travel to Vienna.
The Bar seems very popular with high quality coctails and dishes..
Charcuterie section with excellent products specially if you have high expectations.

This was an amazing find: lovely selection of mini sandwiches to try, as well as beautiful mini desserts.

A great Viennese institution with historic Art Nouveau interior and one of the oldest but still very good restaurants in town with a bustling bar. In fact, it'll be 400 years in 2018! The bar and its terrace are a very popular place to meet for locals, tourists and regulars alike. People will have an aperitif, an excellent glass of wine, a Spritzer, a spritz con aperol, or sparkling wine leaning on one of the high counters. It is customary to have some of their acclaimed traditional Viennese open faced sandwich or other local snack with it. The bar and terrace are also a theater stage, where you go to show yourself and to be seen in the best possible company.

Very rude staff. Wanted to be polite and ask the waiter whether we can sit at an empty table which had no reserve sign. The waiter was very rude, telling me there is no free table, having in fact that the bar wasn't full. After asking if we can sit in the empty table, he looked in my eyes and said in a very rude, angry manner "there is no free table". He even left while I was talking to him without saying anything. My only words for this waiter are that he is an arrogant stupid bastard. Totally unacceptable, my foot will never go there again. Ruined my whole day. Will make sure that everyone I know never go there. I have even attached a picture, showing that it is much less busy than it usually is.

Top Service, delicious food, a huge selection of wines including a house own 🍷, reasonable prices, a beautiful location and the restaurant happens to be frequented by the high society of Vienna and the entire Austria. Definitely a place to be if you enjoy great dinning and wine

If you're interested on Viennese “Would like to be society“ then you must have seen it. Old fashioned bar/restaurant. Delicious food/snacks with selfmade spreads. Price for 1 glass Prosecco 5,80€ 😱 waiter/waitress friendly and well educated. Outdoor (spring/Summer) tables and chairs. Most of the Guests are as old as the bar.
