Love it. So many things to do. See the park, see the museums, go to the water games, hike up the hill and explore the old stone theater, see the zoo. And at Christmas time experience the fairy tale like Christmas forest (and have some glühwein).

Schloss Hellbrunn is sourrounded by beautiful grounds and the Schloss itself is a step back in time. Perfect for a peaceful afternoon stroll.

Beautiful place!
The ticket is €12.50 which gives you tour to the trick fountains, entrance & audio guide to the palace, and some museum.
In my opinion, those things are unnecessary though interesting. The park itself is where the beauty resides and it's free. Many tall trees and squirrels, birds, digs walking their owners 😋, etc.

I really love taking a slow stroll. Unfortunately I didn't have much time when I was here, so I didn't get to walk the whole park. I think you may need about 3 hours to cover the whole park.

After your nice long stroll, you can get some coffee and cakes at the Parkcafé. It's very family friendly.

It is worth the stop, especially for the trick fountains. They give everyone who visits plenty of laughs. The gardens are also very impressive. Your Salzburg card covers the price of admission.

The castle is nothing extraordinary, save for the infamous trick fountains, which are fun for everyone who likes to get wet. Not sure how the fountain show could amaze you in rainy days, when you're wet anyway. The tour of the castle is a self-guided audio tour, where every visitor receives an audio player. The fountain tours are guided-only and take about a half-hour. The walk of the gardens in the back are free of charge and provide a nice place to take a break, along with an easy access to the city's zoo for families with kids. You can get to the castle either by bus directly from the center - takes about 20 minutes and is free with the Salzburg city card, or by car and you'd have to find a parking spot around in the streets.

Nice place for relax, see history and walk arround many water basens.There is nice places for a play outdoor games, or outdoor run, walking. Close ZOO is great tip for all Child visitors ;).

The ChristmasMarket was phenomenal- especially at night with the lights. Allow yourself to get lost, wander around and find campfires and smores, farm animals for the kids to pet, sculpture gardens. Simply incredible- best family activity ever.

The palace building itself is an interesting and well designed museum but I was a bit disappointed that you can’t of it in its original interior design. The real highlight here are the ‘trick fountains’ and they’re great for visitors of all ages. You have to see the fountains as a tour where the guide will show you all the interactive parts of the display. I don’t want to give too much away but let’s just say you should be prepared to get a little wet (which is nice and refreshing on a summer day!).
