Sorry but have to disagree with all the good reviews.

Our hotel recommended this place which looked like a nice place outside showing open fire with meat being slowly cooked on site.

I decided to order some slow cooked ribs from the fire pit but the waiter suggested something better from the kitchen (really?) and a little more expensive. I thought ok as he seemed sincered. My partner ordered a small steak medium as she didn't want any ribs.

When the food came her steak was tough as leather and my rib combo was tough and charred, and it was so greasy and tasted of only charcoal not wood fire which suggested it was cooked more than once. She left over half of it behind cos she couldn't chew anymore and i spent an hour chewing thru mine.

To top it all the price was crazy it was our first night in Argentina we didn't know better but a few evenings after we finally found exceptional food at a fraction of what this place charged and all within 10 mins walk.

what can I say?I'm a carnivorous being and in love with Malbec wine., I had been to this restaurant a couple of times, and found the food and wine to be as usually "excellent" and the prices fantastic, Dollar exchange about 12.50 unofficial rate. official rate 8.50 or so.. this restaurant is very roomy, the staff very cordial.

because the Chacra offers meats grilled on the asador the iron cross that is used to grill over open fire. The side dishes however were not worth it. Canned asparagus and peas were really not what I would have wished for. Especially because the prices are rather high in comparison to other places in the area.
