An epic European coffee hpuse in the midst of South America. Great food, coffee, and dessert. Excellent bar servers as well. You can choose the same seat as a legendary author so a little research helps. Live music here is also really great.

Told us we had a table reserved so we eat upstairs. Table for show was back. Difficult to see dancers legs. Stood up to see and someone behind me said they paid as much as me so sit down. They were unfortunately 5 feet tall. Show dancers were good but not enough dancing. Tango.

This place came highly recommended to see a Tango performance. The cost of 450 AR was worth it. A nice small intimate room to watch the performance. We were lucky to pick up tickets earlier in the day for that evening. It would have been nice if you could make the reservation online. Plenty of time to order and eat before the show if you wish, or just enjoy a nice glass of wine while you enjoy the performance.

It’s a cafe established on 1858 and has a character. We had lamb with vegetables, hamburger, ice coffee and pizza. Food was good and they served reasonably fast. They also have a Tango Show at 8pm and costs around 450 Pesos. The waiter wrote a total with extra 90 pesos with pen and said that’s the total amount including service. This was never done in any other store.

Had to wait outside for about 5 minutes before there was seating available. (1:30 p.m. on a Friday) Worth the wait. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was fantastic. Try the chocolate con churros, and take a moment to look around before/after you eat.

The place to go for the traditional cafe and media-luna (croissant). I had the submarino - let the chocolate submarine melt through the warm milk. Nice quirky art on the walls. Bit of a queue to get in

Cafe Tortoni is an amazing historical cafe that makes Buenos Aires history. The architecture and deco transport you to other times while you enjoy good coffee and pastries. If you want to be curious about old time events simple focus your eyes on memorabilia, newspaper clips, original painting all telling the story of poets, political activists, artist and social influencers that had the Tortoni as their meeting place.

Best cafe in BA. There are lots of paintings and antique stuff around. The coffee and sandwiches are great. The cafe also offers tango show for dinner time. Of course needs reservation.

Wow! Nice tango show! It's so crowded all the time. If you want to see the Tango Show, a reservation is necessary. They don't take a reservation over the phone. You should go to the place a couple hours in advance to reserve your table, but it's worth it.

We stopped for a coffee and some alfajores during our day in Buenos Aires. One look at the dessert counter and I could not pass up on trying the Alfajore cake. It was delicious! The service was very friendly and efficient. The atmosphere inside is wonderful. I highly recommend a stop for a treat so you can relax and take in the surroundings. A Buenos Aires classic for a reason!

Albeit touristy, Café Tortoni had great food and nice ambiance. The only thing that was poor was the service- which was horrible. Still worth stopping in to enjoy café and postres!

A special café with a rich history, but at the end of the day it's still just a café. Higher than normal pricing, but if you're a tourist and getting to know BA, it's worthwhile going.

nice place one of the most important '' cafe notables'' de Buenos Aires, all the stars and everyone stops to have a coffee here, not because the coffee or food it's amazing just because of its history, The prices are okay not very expensive. Apparently the tango shows are good. Recommend it!
