Oldest spices shop in Buenos Aires.
Chimichuri for barbecue is a must-buy.

Charming when not packed, too small and noisy when it is. While tea is refreshingly and even extravagantly tasty, service needs polishing up.

Tasty cakes and very good teas. El Gato Negro is one of the top 5 historical cafés of Buenos Aires. A great place to stop by for a coffee with some pastries while you walk Avenida Corrientes.

Went on jazz night, great show. Bottle of wine and a lomito sandwich. I had a really good time.

Although coffee aficionados will find more refined espresso elsewhere, El Gato Negro deserves five stars for the ambiance and quality in a city that seems to be losing much of its heritage.

Great place to buy herbs and special teas, the air is too spicy, though

It was ok but so noisy and crowded on weekend. Had to wait 15 min to get a place. The crew's attention was great and the prices weren't expensive but the food wasn't big deal.

A perfect cafe, full of nice fragrances in the craziness of the downtown. Spicy coffees and delicious desserts

An historic place in a wonderful part of the city center, when you enter you immediately sense a delicious aroma of spices, it has a very 1900's fashion, it's very traditional and has the best coffe in Buenos Aires.

Bar notable with a great selection of teas, coffees, cakes and sandwiches. Some hot dishes and you can buy hundreds of spices by weight. If you want to drink tea in a traditional local setting, this place is perfect.

Such a cool place, I should have came here many months ago. Pretty busy but there's extra seating upstairs where you can get a good view by the window.
