I'm not sure why it took me so long to visit Argentina's largest cemetery, but it turned it to be a strange and wonderful place really, a much richer, even comforting experience for me than the more tourist-famous one in Recoleta. If you dig cemeteries, this one's for you. Plan on staying a while, and wander.

Enormous cementery for all social classes (unlike Recoleta).
Interesting, peaceful place to contemplate about life/death and everything else, or simply stroll around.

It might sound strange to say about a cemetery, but I love this place and find it very relaxing to stroll around. Huge wide open spaces with a lot of trees and greenery. The initial section after going in the main entrance has a lot of grand mausoleums and some more famous historical Argentines such as tango singer Carlos Gardel and aviator Jorge Newbery, and beyond that is also a section ("rincon") with a lot of entertainers, musicians, sportspeople, artists and creative people all grouped together. There is also the Peron family tomb where Juan Domingo Peron was originally buried, although he has since been moved (interesting story that one, look it up). All in all, Chacarita is a great alternative visit to Recoleta cemetery.

I just can't believe I sent a check on April of this year and without telling me or anything they cashed the check in December , without sending an email, calling, they go after you when you owe but then when they have to be decent they do not. I found my account with an overdraft is Christmas time and these people don't do things the way agreed and the way it should . Imagine you send a check they do not acknowledge the check, and then they cash the checked at the end of the year.
Well you want my money you will have to do better next time, unbelievable
