Friendly staff on the desk! We arrived late and they were super accommodating. Rooms are clean and common area contains everything you need. Staff also organized a wonderful walking tour which allows you to see all of the important sights. Thankyou for a great stay.
Overall a good place, as far as hostels go. Well located in San Telmo, clean, and a whole host of activities for people looking for whatnot to do. The staff is also very helpful. Got good recommendations for food, drinks, and even literature.
We are currently staying here for the better part of the week. Hostel is very clean, and the staff are approachable! They're happy to help with any bookings you need as well. Overall a positive experience.
Good hostel. Decent location,.Rooms and bathrooms are clean.Feels like a hotel without the price tag! TV room with Netflix was ideal for those chill out nights. Cool hostel with really friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again.
I spent a good time in America del Sur Hostel!
My first impression was that I didn't feel like in an hostel, but more in an hotel. It changes from usual hostels and the atmosphere might be less convivial.
The room was clean and with air-conditioning (essential in summer).
You can have good information at the reception, a map, and a shuttle to the airport is also possible for a decent price.
The situation is good for the public transports (metro station close), but you are not in the center, or in a neighborhood for parties and restaurants.
Great hostel. Checks all the boxes. Location, hot showers, good wifi, comfy bed, helpful staff, and a great playlist for background music. Really appreciated the daily organized tours - that's a large part of what makes hostels more enjoyable than hotels. I'd definitely recommend America del Sur.
A great and cozy place. Clean and a happy place.
Very nice hostel in a great location! Super friendly staff that are ready to help. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. Also living room with Netflix in the basement!
Great rooms, lots of activities to get into and a great bar directly opposite the hostel. Feels like a hotel without the price tag! TV room with Netflix was ideal for those chill out nights.
Good hostel. Decent location, clean rooms and hot water. Very helpful workers and accepts multiple currencies as payment. Very popular.
The hostel is very good with excellent staff and a nice breakfast that is included in the price. (Different cereals, cake, toast, coffee various teas) The ensuite rooms have a separated shower, toilet and sink. The toilet doestn't flush that well. The rooms have lockers which are kind of a joke but if necesary you can store valuables that you don't need often in the staff office. The area around the hostel gets a bit sketchy after midnight but is perfectly safe during the day. There are large common areas and there's a BBQ outside that you can use. Around the hostel there are tons of bars and restaurants. I recommend the "La puerta roja" a cheap, vibrant pub just on the opposite side of the street or the "Brasserie Petanque", a French haute cuisine restaurant that is only four blocks away.
Cool hostel with really friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again. I just didn't like the shower in the shared room. A really tiny space. It's hard to shower properly.
The hostel is well located, just in the edge of San Tell, a hip place with lots of bars days and late nights. Neighbourhood a bit rough but three blocks from Independence metro. Staff friendly AND knowledgeable.
Great hostel, the staff was super friendly and accommodating (some more than others), answered our questions and were super helpful. They helped us book most of our activities for our stay. Location was perfect to roam San telmo. Delicious free breakfast. They have planned activities at the hostel so very easy to meet others, made a lot of friends.
Room and bathroom were great, clean. Free wifi in the rooms.
Cool hostel although it's more like a hotel. Everything is really professional (which can be a good and a bad thing). I did really like that there are only 4 beds in the dorms. You get to know all your roommates.
