It is a nice historical site, and a nice view of the city. For 200 leke it is worth the price (the weapons museum is another 200 leke) - the place is huge.

A city worth visiting..if by car you can drive up here and park, but also you could take a local bus and reach this part of the city. Enjoy the old buildings and streets, the local food and also buy a souvenir or two since there is a variety of choices as well. We didn' have much time to visit the museum but plan to do that next time we are around!

Nice and large castle well worth a visit. 200 lekk or €2 (so it's better to pay in lekk). Nice views and interesting spots in the castle. Nice trip back into history thanks to the funny and educating stories on the information panels.

This place should be on the world tourist map. A stunning drive from Sarandë, and a UNESCO heritage site full of interest. Well worth a visit

A beautiful small town with cobble stone streets and traditional Albanian architecture. Be sure to visit the castle.

Nice castle with great panoramic views over the city and valley. Has some examples of WW2 weapons exhibited in it's gallery and separately a weapons museum (haven't been there so don't know wat's inside). Castle looks really big but many parts was was not accessible.
Bring some water with you if it's a hot day. Steep road leads to entrance, small parking for less tnan 10 car available directly near the gate. There are stairs up starting near the old bazaar if going by foot, it's not hard to make them.

Gjirokaster is interesting fortress village with much potential to be very interesting place to visit and stay little longer.. Now the village was a huge construction area but still 5 stars place to visit. Good restaurant, nice cafes and obviously putting much efort to serve visitors. I would like to quality handicrafts and more activities but for sure they are on they way.

Really worth to visit, it is a well preserved and quite big castle. Not overcrowded, you can enjoy it. One of the museum inside is still kept as in the communist era, which is actually a museum in a museum. Inside is also a prison with original wall writtings.

You'd love it here. A great view of the city form the castle and of the valley beneath. The castle is well preserved and has a lot to show. I'm not telling you more, because you have to visit and enjoy for yourself.

The castle overlooks the entire city. It offers very good view of the old bazaar. The castle is large, the majority is preserved. There are several museums. Under the castle itself is a bunker of Enver Hoxha, designed to hide the whole government in the event of war.
