Blake Island is a small Island near to Cherry Hill Bay Beach and Deep Bay in the Falmouth Harbour in Antigua. This small island is the site of Fort Charles, one of Antigua's oldest Forts (Constructed around 1672 ), some ruins are still visible on the Island today.
The island (locally called "Old Fort" ) can be seen from many vantage points overlooking Falmouth Harbour in that area of Antigua. A spectacular site and Turquoise waters can be observed in close proximity of the Island. During the Low Tides one was able to gain access via Cherry Hill Bay Beach walking on the sandy sea beds finding "Cockle" below and Conch on the sea bed.
Calmer on the northern side facing Cherry Hill Bay Beach and Rougher on the side facing Deep Bay makes for an interesting contrast both in Topography and marine life. small beaches are on the island, the northern beach is the main landing point.
