Places like this Fahidi fort really take you back in time. The props there help you visualize the life when settlers started settling in Dubai. A good effort on part of the government and others to put this museum together and to give the tourists something to look forward to when they visit Dubai.

A very memorable experience. Going through the history and life styles of the people and the astonishing development from the 1800s to the now is mind boggling. I'm really in awe of the visionary prince of Dubai.

I really enjoyed the market on the way from metro to the museum. Very authentic. The museum was great. Part of exposition is open air, the other part is under the fort. Lots of tourists though.

It's bigger on the inside than it looks and you get to learn more about the city. Find poo u how a dessert city has enough water for that many water features. The location in the old city is ideal while you're exploring the history and culture of Dubai far away from the malls and high rises

Interesting museum which was a bit of a surprise. Dragged here by a member of our group who had somewhat dubious planning skills and from the outside this didn't look much. But one inside, it was a very interesting. Told the story of old Dubai and what makes it so unique in the world. A very well done museum that is worth the incredibly small entrance fee!

Dubai Traditional Architecture museum have a great collection of variety of things related to old UAE and all over Arab and desert culture.
A great place to find Dubai history .
At the museum you will get opportunity to get fully familiar with the traditional urban and architectural components and features of Dubai. The information is presented through drawings, diagrams, prototypes, samples and sculptures (many of which are of real-world size), blueprints and aerial shots that show the urban development of Dubai.
The museums ticket is very cheap and it opens at 8 in the morning which is also the best time to visit.
The underground galleries are of special interest to visit.

A great place to visit when in Dubai. Entry is cheap. You can also cover the entire place within an hour. The place talks about the culture, growth, sports, business and archeological facts about old Dubai. It is very well maintained. A bit difficult to find the place if you are commuting by the metro. There are also many eating spots near the place and a beautiful souvenir shop within the premise (the souvenirs are reasonably priced). This place is a hidden gem, do try visiting when in Dubai.

An excellent museum and very well preserved fort. Entry fee is cheap. Exhibits were displayed in a convenient way which was accessible for even elderly tourists. The underground exhibits were exceptionally well planned, taking one back to how Dubai used to be years ago. Multimedia presentations also offer a glimpse of the past. It's a place which will appeal to all age groups. A must visit. Parking is a problem though.

Cheap to get in, however they only accept cash for ticket purchases. Navigation from the local metro station is not well sign posted. The museum provides great historical insight to Dubai and it’s located in ‘old Dubai, which is an interesting contrast with ‘new Dubai’.
