A great simple museum, underrated unnoticed
A lot of good stuff
antiques, vases, coins, books, pictures, maps, calligraphy, messages between world leaders, guns, knives .. objects are pure history more than 200- 500 years old

Rip off 30 dirhams?! For what ? Avoid this place they even charge for Arabic coffee, looks like somebody decided to make some money by showing his personal collection.

The first of the private museums in Dubai, housed in the heritage home of Sh Hashr Al Maktoum. The house itself is beautifual with a wonderful courtyard. The museum is actually a group of three museums, it reflects the civilizations that has passed through this region and tells the story of how Dubai was a link between weat and east. Many valuable manuscripts and rare books are on display. Very relaxed atmousphere, you can browse at your leasure. Goos nearby attractions. Well worth the visit specially outside summer months.

Wonderful place for photo shoot or to just to take some nice retro Arabian styled videos. Quaint. And a nice place to catch the sunrise and sunset too.
