I had flu only with usual flu symptoms.so I went to the emergency. I had painkillers and IV. The doctor did blood tests for me and when the results came out he said that I have to be admitted based of high CRP
I said yes because I don’t know and he knows better as a doctor. 3 hours later I was still waiting but in a different emergency bed. I kept asking the doctor and the nurse about the insurance approval to transfer me to the room because I need to rest and I haven’t slept all night from the pain I had before going to hospital,
The doctor shocked me by saying that I had to follow up with the insurance and this is what patients do usually. If I am someone who can do things for my own self I wouldn’t have went to hospital and asked for a medical treatment. They have not follow up with the insurance, they blamed me for not following up myself, and then when the approval came after I followed up and contacted the insurance, I said when are you transferring me to the room? They said you have to wait it is getting cleaned. That was the biggest joke I heard after the wait long on the emergency bed, sleep deprived, the pain killers effect was going away already, and guess what, people in the same spot where chatting as if it is their home! Not a hospital in the emergency filled with beds and sick people. Overall my entire experience because of a flu was horrible. I never recommend this hospital to anyone as no on there was professional and they charge insurance a lot of money for a very bad medical service. Private hospitals should give you special care not like the ones I received. I prefer having pain in my own bed, in my ow room, in my own clean and calm house, than taking such medical care which was not a care! It was a waste of my entire day, in pain. Then I left and didn’t stay in their fancy room, going back to home flu remedies.
Good customer service
Good, friendly and understanding doctors.
Clean environment
This hospital is wonderful
I love it
I did an operation with Dr. Omar Sabry the orthopedic. He is simply 🤩. I really recommended this doctor to anyone has a problem with any orthopedic issues. He is soooo patience , has a smiley face and listen to all ur complaints then tell you his point of view with honesty not for business as i found with the other doctors. The hospital staff are all friendly and nice. The food is delicious although i didn’t try it but my nanny did😜 and told me her idea. Hospital is clean but the furniture is a bit old.
Over rude staff the receptionist in the laboratory section name is LINJU WAS EXTREMELY RUDE , SHE SHOUT AT AS , SHE WAS KEEP ARGUING EVEN SHE IS WRONG !!!
First of all you have to know whom you are hiring and provide proper training of customer service standing front of the clients and discuss clients case discuss it on native language, we are not speaking her language to know what’s going on,
Completely disappointed ☹️ with customer service , very rude , not professional at all.
Only coming back for specific doctors.
We was disrespected and offended, no one comes to hospital for enjoyment we already have issues and stress and leaving hospital with more pressure?? Who need it ?
Plus she want us to go to the insurance where another level I have to follow up with my self while it’s A JOB OF THE STAFF ???
Kindly hire professional staff and provide proper training
Good but very very busy hospital.
The doctor seen on the day delayed for a very long time over a confirmed appointment, but he was very highly capable at his job.
They have good amount of valet parking drivers, you will feel like you arriving at a hotel.
An interesting robot carrying water around on the main reception area, video uploaded.
Worst experience ever. I went to see an orthopaedic for a swallow knee, I was told to do x ray then blood test then come back to him, still he couldn't explain to me what was wrong and said I should do an MRI. We spent 4 hours in that place while I'm in severe pain with no answer. He said I need to buy knee brace and it will take 4 to 6 weeks to heal. Other than that administration was horrible and didn't send me the reports as I asked and I had to follow up with them. I went to medcare orthopaedic the next day the doctor just said that it's a knee effusion and that he just needs to remove the water. When he did that I was able to walk again and bend my knees. I can't believe what I went through with SGH.
Horribal service. A quie of 1.2h in the pharmacy, and then I was talled that they need to aprova with the incurence company somthing. Had to wait even more. In total 2.5h.
Too many peopel in the hospital, chance are the time you are spending here that you will catch a virus
My husband went to this hospital twice. For the first time with poisoning, he came to the emergency. He was given a dropper and sent home. He had a fever at home, and he passed out. As a result, he was hospitalized for a week. The second time he was brought after the accident. And they did not want to do anything until they found out whether this case would cover by insurance, or we need to pay money first. As a result, we waited two hours, no one came to clarify whether we will pay. It seems you can die because of the bureaucracy. Although we have a good insurance, and this insurance covered stated in the hospital last time.
The worst hospital I have ever been to. We live in the USA and we are visiting Dubai for the first time. My son had an allergic reaction to nuts yesterday. Upon our arrival to the "Saudi German Hospital Dubai" they refused to see my son until we pay the deposit and another fee I am not sure what it was!! My son had a very bad rash with swelling in his lips. After we talked to them and told them this is an emergency and the doctor should see him first and evaluate his condition to decide its severity, not just being evaluated first by the receptionist who was trying to calm me down without even being seen by the nurse!!!! Patient safety comes first but not in this hospital where collecting money comes first and they don't even care about the patients!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They sent us to the CCU-pediatrics where the doctor in-duty came to see us more 40 minutes after we got there (allergy reaction should be treated as soon as possible to prevent progression to anaphylactic shock, but this never happened in this hospital). The doctor, who was supposed to be a pediatrician, asked me what happened to my son and I told him the story about 3 times but he looked like he never heard about this disease before, he kept asking me the same questions over and over. He kept calling his supervisor, who didn't even show up to the ER, ten times. Finally, they told me that they need to admit my son to the hospital over night!!!!!!!!! come on!!! this doesn't make any sense to me!!! At least give my son the anti-histamine injection or do something in the ER to relieve his symptoms first in the ER before you think of admission. I asked the doctor on-duty to give my son the anti-histamine injection which apparently, he never heard about it and my son rash was getting worse and worse, I never saw my son in this bad situation before. We spend about 2 hours in the ER in the "Saudi German hospital Dubai" without him doing anything to my son, just keep making his useless phone calls with his supervisors/colleagues to ask how to treat the allergic reaction but still without any improvement to my son. Finally, we ended up taking my son to another hospital where the doctor on-duty gave him the anti-histamine injection once she saw his severe rash and his symptoms started to improve within 30 minutes after the shot!!
I will never recommend this hospital to any person. This is really a very bad experience. The "Saudi German Hospital Dubai" is VERY unprofessional and all they care about is MONEY!!!!!!!!
Easily the worst hospital in UAE! Horrible customer service, arrogant physicans and zero follow up!
Avoid and head to Al Zahra which is 5 mins away but 1000 times better.
I like the hospital facility and friendly staff. DrMohamed Fadl and his nurse were so kind and supportive and I really felt I’m in between my family member. I am of medical background and I can say that the doctor is also so professional, he could easily diagnosed my hemophilia influenza B and I got great improvement in a couple of day.
My daughter also was following up with Dr Eman, Pediatrician, same great attitude and support and immense knowledge.
Well done SGH acquiring this kind of great staff.
Wael.
To be honest it's a good hospital but there are many things missing. For an example, yesterday I got an open woond wich went till my bone that got infected and I had to wait 50 min, then the doc just stuck his finger in the open woond with out asking. He was very very rough with the stitching, where I of course was in A LOT of pain. After being 4 hours in hospital I went to the bathroom and like every hospital there must be a disabled metal bars next to the toilet, well that didn't exist. The bathroom were bad, everything was so filthy and dirty. There was a broke rusty shower or I don't know in there. My opinion it's a good hospital but it's not the best. There a many things missing and I hope they are working on it.
This is such a bad hospital, don't even know where to start.
After having iv medicine, my husband was completely forgotten for about 40 minutes. I went out to find someone, they came, said someone would be back. 20 minutes later, nothing, found the doctor and he said "good I saw you here, cause I had forgotten about you". Great, huh?
Not finished. He came back and realized that after more than an hour, my husband didn't even received all the medicine he was supposed to!
So, if you expect to be treated with care (like they say in their slogan) or even as a human, this hospital is not the place.
Had a great experience with the hospital, both in terms the emergency treatment, the tests and doctor appointment followup. Staff are friendly, people smile and had an overall positive vibe. Hope not to return, but if I do SGH will be my primary choice. Thank you.
Very commercial hospital, it's like going to a mall to buy something and you need to wait in queue no matter what's the emergency you've got. Also the automation and system they have is more slowing the process than speeding it up. You have to walk 3000 steps to reach to the pharmacy I had pain in my legs but still had to walk all the way to that pharmacy to be received by robots who don't talk they just spend 10 min on their computer before they give you the medicine. All in all less than normal experience
Has some downsides. They tend to ask for a lot of investigations and the end result is: you are okay, we didn’t find anything wrong, but I still feel sick!
Pharmacy is a nightmare, over 100 patients waiting for their turn.
The Doctors and nurses are super friendly and caring. I loved being treated here. The service is immaculate
Worst hospital I’ve been to. With the exception of one of the doctor all the staff and nurse were dangerously incompetent. In a matter of hours I saw a nurse who wanted to administer my wife’s medication to an other patient, an other nurse inventing a normal body temperature reading to my wife’s doctor.. all this a few minutes after an other nurse took a reading demonstrating she had fever..
If your not diying go somewhere else, there is so much choice in Dubai
My wife and I visited Saudi German several times, for surgery and post-op treatment and results.
The hospital has been outstanding in the services it provided to us. From arranging the communication/approval with the insurance, to the follow up appointments.
Special thanks to Dr. Issam, he really helped us, and we appreciate all he's done for us.
No German doctors, didn't come across any. No German standards, all about running tests and prescribing medicine. Strange diagnoses, without much explanation, which turned out irresponsible once visiting other medical institutions for 2nd opinions. Good is the efficiency of the direct billing however insurances probably raise there annual fees for places like this.
My journey with Saudi German has been the most memorable and amazing. Although the scare of entering the hospital, thinking that there is no tomorrow. But the ambiance, the staff from entry point, the registration desk, the nurses, the lab..simply amazing feeling. Friendliness comes with a tag and that tag is "we know what you want and we are here to help". The most important highlight is that Cancer is not a death sentence. It is just jump starting your cells to be more better after chemo. Dr. Rajiv is the most experienced in various cancers. He has been my God sent angel and directed me on how to handle the Big 'C' with diets and my living style Thank you Saudi German for the most amazing journey of my life. I will visit the team, but as a friend. God bless and staff healthy always. Believe in your self knowing that from thousands you have been touched by an angel.
I visited yesterday your Dental clinic and specifically I was recommended to see Dr. Ioannis Faklaris by my friend in the office.
Let me please express my happiness to meet and know this great Doctor , I am 60 years old who had a long experience with Dentists in my whole life, but never meat a doctor like that.
Dr. Faklaris is an excellent dentist whose main priority is making sure his patients are comfortable and get the best dentistry he can offer. He took the time to explain every procedure he was doing to do for me in the next visits.
I would highly recommend Dr. Ioannis to anyone who needs a dentist!
Incompetent staff and doctors who over prescribe meds. My friend went in for simple stomach ache (foreigner) and wound up DEAD.. Avoid! Please
I've been visiting the hospital for few years now, generally I would say I'm satisfied with the treatments I had so far, but there are couple of points I would like to point out.
The emergency team of SGH are very friendly and active, although there are times when the emergency get too busy, they still manage to run the situation smoothly and prioritize the more severe conditions.
The other point I want to mention is actually a suggestion, many hospitals nowadays in UAE provide the patient a bag with ice in the pharmacy to store the medicine and keep it cool specially during summer time, unfortunately in SGH they don't have this kind of privilege.
Dr Lubna's great doctor amongst all OB Gyne.
But if you're in pain, be ready as you have to wait in queue for more than an 1 hour. You'll suffer in pain.
As of 15:07 the counter is still service E 378 - note they have a e-ticketing system and 9 counters of really slow moving pharmacists (mix races, arabs, indians, maybe paki).
No supervisor in charge to even monitor how many patients are catered.
+ All the staff I've met at the hospital were attentive, helpful and friendly.
As long as you don't call to hospital
1. Have asked operator for ultrasound appointment and he made it at the wrong department, so had to spend 6 hours at the hospital to get a respective appointment.
2. Have asked to receive blood test results and ultrasound report by e-mail - didn't happen before I had called again and asked to do that.
3. Blood test results were not received as well. Have called yesterday and asked to send them to my e-mail. Emphasized that I did few of them and would like to receive them all - have received only one.
4. Called today again to laboratory receptionist, talked to Christina, asked to send me hormones test result - nothing.
5. Called again to laboratory reception - no response.
Hospital has very good service when you visit them and deeply disappointing one when you are calling them.
My 5 years old son broke badly his left arm, the hospital since the beginning was very professional in his treatment. He was under surgery and the all team was really fantastic in helping not only him , but the all family to face this difficult moment.
I have very much appreciated the fact they were very clear every moment with us to permits the fully comprehension.
A special thanks to Dr Ashok Kumar, he was very clear, professional in fixing his arm and so nice with him to the level of participating to a point game to be given to him when he was facing bravely the pain. Points given by Dr Kumar has been redeem in toys by me.
Thanks Dr Kumar, thanks SGH. My son is happily swimming in the pool now.
This is the first time that I visit a doctor and I request from him a report discribing my case which is very clear to him and he is the specialist for such cases according to his profile in sgh website and he refuses!!!!! Also he is refusing to do the nesscary checkup because he wants me to visit him again and pay for another visit which will be the third visit for the same case .!!!!!!
please how can i get detailed information about eye treatment/surgery for my Boss in Nigeria. i need detailed procedures for travelling and medication processing @ sgh dubai
Avoid this hospital at all cost. All they care about is how much money they can squeeze out of you. This is not based on one-off experience. I have visited them at least dozen times over the last 3-4 months and every visit has reinforced my perception that they are just after my money. My daughter fell sick and was admitted to the emergency. Doctor did the blood test and in next 5 hours doctor told us that there could possibly be a chance of viral infection but she wasn't sure. She told us to come back in 2 days time if symptoms worsened. My daughter felt better without medication but 1 week later my daughter fell sick again and we rushed her to the emergency one more time.
This time it was a different doctor and as usual she asked for x-ray and other customary tests. After that she told us that it was just a viral infection and that she would not give any antibiotics. 3 days later when her fever didn't go away, we took her to a different doctor. This doctor looked at her blood test from the first visit and wondered why doctor didn't prescribe any medication as her report was really bad. Then immediately he advised us to admit our daughter and said it would take 3 days where she will receive intra-veinous antibiotics. He also talked about doing x-ray but when we reminded that x-ray is already done and it's in the system he backed off.
Long story short we didn't admit our daughter and decided to take her to different hospital where doctors said she would be fine with oral antibiotics.
We have decided never to visit this hospital again. My wife had similar experience with gynecologist who was more interested in the details of our insurance plan than her health problem. She has stopped visiting the hospital.
Sorry for the long review but only thing I like about this hospital is that they take feedback seriously. So I hope someone there will read this and think seriously about fixing this issue.
The Emergency Department has been very efficient in managing the symptoms of my husband pneumonia through out a quick x Ray with a portable unit and a blood work showing elevated white cell count.
The transfer to a special care unit has allowed a complete monitoring of him for two days where other health issues were well taken care of, the work of the highly trained nurses and doctors has created an atmosphere of trust and kindness which has continued in the normal ward for some more days till the normalization of the conditions.
We were given follow up medications and out patient appointments to the concerned specialists.
A big thanks to all staff doctors nurses and catering and house keeping personnel that have helped with a blend of Asian kindness and Middle Eastern hospitality and enthusiasm. A patient centered approach where family is given and allowed to bring maximum comfort to the over all well being of their loved ones in pain.
