The desert safari was awesome but these people who have the responsibility to pick you from hotel and drop you and take the money for the same totally ruined our day After so much funeverything ended about 9 pm and we reached our hotel at 12 30 am They kept us waiting at the ground for 3 hours.. Not a single family was there.. We had 5 Yr old kids And we were scared as this was an open unknown place where even the net wasn't working properly so we can do a cab And above all these people didn't have an inch of humility in them They drove so slow after we sat in the car.. He stopped at a gas station where he spent half an hour doing something in the station.. And we were all just sitting in the car You should all go for desert safari but don't take their services For them once they take the money you are nothing to them They know that without them you cannot do anything there
Literally a taste of dubai. I highly recommend, my tour guide Dawoud was really funny and great conversationalist, he made this tour more better for me and my wife. Enjoyed every bit and will definitely do this again
Beautiful experience for a very reasonable price, Dawoud is a very good guide who does his best to satisfy us the best. We feel safe because he knows how to drive in the dunes, it was an unforgettable day thank you again
We booked Desert Safari and ATV package for 250 AED with Red Dune. Our driver picked us up at 3pm and then another group. He drove to the desert but stopped for approximately 15 minutes and drivers were swapped with no communication about what was happening which was somewhat unsettling. We arrived in the desert at about 4:45pm and the dune bashing was only for 10 minutes and not 30 to 35 mins was advertised. We were overwhelmed with how many people were trying to sell us items/experiences. The package did not include sand boarding as advertised. We were told that camel ride was included, however, we were asked to pay and was only on the camel for a minute! At about 5:20 pm all activities bar sand boarding had been completed and we had to wait until 8pm for food and soft drinks, water was available throughout. This company is a scam, as in the camp everyone was trying to sell something and were being very pushy about it and rude when we declined. The camp was old and in poor conditions. Entertainment was not entertaining at all it all seemed very poorly executed and started at 8pm. We had about 3 hours of wait with nothing to do!! Food was not served until 8pm and was not worth the wait, it was cold and not very good quality at all. By this time we were ready to leave but couldn’t as we travel with another group. We felt trapped! We and other groups complained during the tour to the driver and who we were introduced to as the owner of the tour company. However he was rude and dismissive when we voiced our concerns. He suggested we sand board at 9pm when it was pitch dark in the desert. The camp was very poor quality, toilets were dirty, floors wet, no toilet tissue and there was barely any running water. The camp seems like it’s built to scam tourist. The food being served was also poor quality and it was stored on the floor and not very hygienic, they closed the door when the realised we noticed how they were handling food. On the way home, the driver did not communicate that he had to make a stop, which made us feel unsafe and unsettled. Please use another company as this company was very poor in customer service, communication and hygiene!! Waste of time and money!!
I booked this tour through Marriot Bonvoy. The guide, M Zaman came on time but when we went to pick up 3 more guests at another hotel since we had a shared ride we had to wait 30 mins.
The guide was proficient at driving which is important for when you do the dune bashing, he was polite but not exceptionally outgoing.
Neither did he go out of his way to make it a memorable experience.
I observed other tour guides from other tour companies who were more fun and animated.
The Desert safari experience in general was okay. The dune bashing was fun. We also did sandboarding. Everything else was average. The title of this says with quad bike but the quad bike was not included.
The food was very mediocre, cheaply made salads and food subpar.
Entertainment nothing we haven't seen before except for the fire dancer who was exceptional.
Camel ride basically going in a small circle for 5 mins, everything in advertising is over exaggerated - they make is sound exotic but when you get there is basically a little out camp with a few stations and shops.
Interesting to do but not exceptional.
Remember to check prices of these tours. Many tour companies offering the same experience are charging over $80 per person and some are half the price for exactly the same experience. So check around before you book.
